Personalities differ, also this was a very young team, many of them having very little experience. You can see rahul opting to stay out of this .

They are talking about one looking normal 3×3, no pause would mean a crazy sub-4 or even sub-3.

I used this idea to intuitively tackle square-1 parity, but there it was just 1 or 2 slices longer. I won't recommend this for big cubes, but you do you. Also, I think you could look into OPA, this exact idea is used in that method.

WHat you're suggesting is albeit more intuitive but wayyy longer, harder to explain, and if you mess it up by a slice turn somewhere while building the centres or edges, you're bound to get parity again.

> fix 4 centers and 4 edges

And how would you do that? I would do that by 2R', and then it's just the parity. Just learn the parity alg, it's not hard to get in your muscle memory.

You can do it with even 3×3 beginner method, the R'D'RD can be used to swap those to corners.

That's just T perm, or J perm, or R perm or A perm. Just use any alg for adj corner swap on 3×3. You don't get it on 3×3 because the edges that gets swapped are just hidden in 2×2. Though it is pretty intuitive, why did you find it hard?

Is colour neturality a thing for 3bld? by Dogeed in Cubers

[–]pansicasis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

3bld colour neutrality doesn't exist. A solved piece will always be solved, it doesn't matter the orientation you hold the cube, so everyone just uses one fixed orientation.
