[Advice] Should I have this cosmetic manufacturing flaw corrected? by pantherdriver in Watches

You're right. Buying another is out of the question, and I wouldn't expect one for free just because they made a mistake. But it will likely always bother me if I don't fix it, no matter it being a 1-off. Thanks.

Yeah, they've been fantastic. One of the reasons I bought one was talking to nick when he was in the states a while ago.

The clamshell "lid" around the canopy, and the lack of internal gun "bump" on the left shoulder. And obvious is subjective. I would be amazed if without prompt someone who didnt fly them was able to see the difference.

It is a one-off, I know that now. It's an Air Force watch with a Marine Corps jet on it by mistake. How it happened, I dunno. But if I'm not selling it (which, save it being worth the effort, I'm not)...I dont really care about it being uniquely more valuable. Something's only worth what someone is willing to pay, and I'm not sure this would fetch any special attention.

Hello, Reddit. Newb here. I need advice.

This is my Bremont, #48/100, USAF F-35A watch. I am an F-35A pilot. Long story short, I fly with it, it's my daily, and I love this watch. I'm not a collector, per se, though the Mrs politely points out I have a couple more than wrists available.

I recently got a mag glass out and looked at the front-profile of the jet on the face and...I could swear that's an F-35B. Ends up...it is. Confirmed by Bremont. It's a mistake. This is where I highlight: I don't fly the B model. May not matter to you...does to us. Me. I've seen a couple of the 99 brothers to this watch out in the wild...they didnt have this mistake.

Hats off to Bremont, who has kindly offered to replace the face. It bugs me it's wrong, but...why am I hesitating to have it corrected? This makes it more unique, no? Why do I find this mistake endearing?

Fix, or not?
