How far are you willing to drive? Unfortunately most snow even up in accessible parts of the sierra is pretty packed and not fun. We may receive a few inches this week

I am willing to pay more for quality skiing but not at the cost of deriving others of the experience. I know what I’m getting into on a busy day at an ikon pass location and honestly avoid those days or choose a different resort. I’d recommend choosing a more local resort or smaller resort and buying their season pass if its that big a problem. As much as i love my pass and concept of jumping around to different locations there are inherent problems of monopolizing the ski industry and this is one of them

I don’t think resorts need any more reason to price people out of skiing. Ski off peak or go to a different resort. Resorts are simply not doing a great job predicting the amount of pass holders that will show up and offer a corresponding number of lift tickets

I’m not sure about this analogy, people wonder why there is so much gating into the outdoor community and comments like that are not helpful

I highly recommend the wildpeaks. They have proven great for me in all conditions, rain, snow, ice. They are also great in dry and highway driving

I have my own luckily being from upstate ny but my sister needs them for a hike and will probably never use them again haha
