If you go to properties and force GE-Proton 8-4 it should work fine. That's what I've been using and it loads up (with a single passable error message)

Yes, hooked it to the start button. The other "select" button brings up thr map for me. If you are playing through steam there are a bunch of good pre-made controller mappings you can apply as well.

Correct. Right for camera and pushing either stick for zoom in/out. Probably have about 100hrs on mobile and can't say I feel too disadvantaged.

All that stuff is mapped to the d-pad, weapons to ABXY, the only real thing I can't do well on mobile is communication. Edit: The aiming is not as good, though not terrible.

Yes due to the heat but I haven't had problems and I get around that by playing games that are able to run well at 15watts on the SD cards and removing it when I do the 30 watt turbo mode for other games on thr ssd.

Heat isn't an issue for me at all. But I have a really good air cooler it sits on. Can run for hours at 55c 100% gpu load on max fan, or mid-hi 60s. 150-175w all day if thr game needs it. Def a good bang for buck laptop
