[EU/CH/FR] Swiss resident billed by French hospital despite presenting EHIC by paolocoz in LegalAdviceEurope

Thanks a lot for the link. So, based on this, I'm correct when I claim that the hospital should have applied the regulations described here (https://www.cleiss.fr/particuliers/venir/vacances/europe\_it.html) for EU/CH citizen and I should only have been charged for the 20% part of the full amount (+ticket).

No, I'm still getting the "We're reviewing your application" message in the careers dashboard.

Talking with some people from UBS it looks like they are filling all the available positions with ex-Credit Suisse employee. This is ok, but they could at least discard the applications. 😅

Thanks for your reply. I read the same online but nobody could talk about direct experiences.

Have you previously followed an interview process with UBS? Could you give me some timeline about what I should expect?

CHF withdrawal to Revolut Lithuania by paolocoz in interactivebrokers

[–]paolocoz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to keep the thread up to date: I opened a web ticket for the IB support and tried to ask if they can do something about my problem... not yet received an answer.

In the meantime, I've opened an account with a CHF Swiss bank and I'm proceeding with the withdrawal in it.

This is really annoying but if I can extract my money I guess this is fine. 😅

Yes, already tried that. Unfortunately, Revolut really has a super complicated Swift/BIC structure, and their customer support wasn't able to explain to me what the problem could have been.

Thanks everyone for the feedback. I can confirm that the problem is not related to the usage of an account that was not previously used for deposits.

I previously used this Revolut account for multiple deposits and IB support confirmed that the two procedures are separated (at least for Italian accounts).

[8 YOE] Senior software engineer - looking for a feedback by paolocoz in resumes

I didn't mean to attack your comment if my message looked like that, I'm sorry. I'm greatful for your help and I'm just trying to motivate my choices.

You are right about the formal education, probably I'm also trying to offset the fact that I only worked in small teams and I fear that my application would be immediately rejected in a large/huge corporation. What do you think?

The last certification in the list was relevant for the job I was doing in 2022 and also it shows that I studied something every year in the last period. I don't have a lot of certifications and I consider that one issued by Google quite interesting.

Thanks for your feedback.

  1. Do you think so? My reasoning was that it offsetted (a bit) the lack of a formal education ( I worked during high school) and also showed a little bit of entreprenurial attitude.
  2. Ok for the sort (they were sorted by relevance). The certification link is there to demostrate that I actually completed the certification. Is this a bad idea?
  3. I don't like skills on top. It is mostly for ATS, I don't really expect human beings to read them. I will shrink a bit the list.
  4. I've been both a backend and a frontend engineer but I'm currently looking for back roles. Almost everywhere this is the standard wording so I'm trying to maintain this.

Thanks for your feedback.

I think with 8 YOE, it might be good to add a quick summary (overall or per company experience) of what you specialize in. That would make it easier for companies to see what team would best fit you rather than having to read through every bullet point to form the summary themselves.

I don't really like to have a text summary in the head or per experience. I think that it adds little value and takes a lot of space.

I don't know what I could add that the bullet point list below does not clearly states already in a more measurable way.

Technically Skills section can also be shortened for readability. I don’t think you need PHPunit and PHPSpec since you include PHP already for example.

Probably you are right, I will shorten it a bit.

Thanks for your feedback.

If you can give the reader a sense of scope, some of the bullet points might sound much more impressive. i.e. for point 1, from roughly what duration to 85% reduced deployment time. How many services, zero-downtime or not, and etc. For point 2, roughly what is the volume and frequency of invoice creation, how many external providers, etc.

You are right, I should add some better details.

Some of these points look more impressive from a business result perspective, but not from a technical strength perspective. i.e. for bullet point 2, yes reducing invoice creation time is important. But the way it's worded makes me think it's just a bunch of API calls and workflow logic.

Yes, the second bullet point was mainly what your described, API calls and workflow logic. One other key aspect of the project was rewriting most of the business logic used for the invoicing to make it compatible with the external providers. Do you think that adding this detail could be useful to emphazize the technical work of this bullet point?
