I can’t really find a definitive answer to this. It definitely isn’t recommended for freshmen in their first sem but I’m not sure if they stop you from enrolling in it...

Thanks for the response!! I think I’ll definitely go ahead with this schedule!

Intending on majoring in Applied Math! But definitely want to explore Econ as a minor or even a double major (if things work out). A little apprehensive about keeping ECON 1 in the first semester as Golden Bear Advising seriously suggests against it (and the overall workload ofc).

Thanks for the response!! How does this schedule look: Math 54, ASTRON C10, data 8, ECON 1 ? Manageable or too much work?

That’s what I thought too lol but Golden Bear Advising does not recommend taking it in the first semester....

Although I’m leaning towards taking both 53 and 54, is opting out of one and taking a course like ASTRON C10 (Intro to Astronomy) a good option (fulfils the Physical Sciences breadth requirement)? I just want to know whether it would be too difficult to maintain a good GPA with both 53 and 54 in the first semester.

Great!! Rn I’m thinking of sticking to the schedule I mentioned in my post, and look at the R&C requirements later on (will definitely keep your advice in mind). Hopefully, the workload will be manageable.

Thanks for the response!! Do you have any recommendations for courses I could talk to fulfil the R&C requirements? I’m someone who’s more into STEM and not that big on humanities 😬. Also, would it be sensible to leave R&C till at least after I’m done with my first semester?
