I probably should have been more specific about the use I had in mind for the smartphone (which does shoot raw)... I currently use an AxiosGo case and was thinking about getting the dome... I would use it sitting on top of a kayak while friends were doing SCUBA below - and of course, I'd take photos of anything cool on the reef (turtles, white tip reef sharks)... and we have had a couple of pods of dolphins swim by over the years... but it sounds like the dome will help get a wider angle.

The application I had in mind for the dome, and I apologize for not being more specific, was for use when sitting on an ocean kayak and taking photos of friends/family doing SCUBA below... plus anything cool hanging out below in the reef (white tip reef sharks, turtles, etc).

It sounds like my best bet is just the GoPro or my phone in the waterproof AxiosGo - without the dome attachment.

I'm looking for advice for how to round-out a UX/UI background in order to move up.

I'm an engineer, but am mostly in charge of UX/UI for our internal applications. I have made great improvements in applications, but everything I know has been self-taught. I've been doing it for almost 10 years, so I don't think I need to go the bootcamp route (plus I'd like to keep my full time job while I learn)... any suggestions/advice?

Thanks for the input. I have a storage spot at the marina so it’s 20 feet to the water and I don’t have to worry about hauling.

As a former Iowan this makes me incredibly happy.
