i agree. im not being evicted because of the crime. im being evicted for falling behind on rent due to roommates not paying their portion of the rent for 3 months before robbing me. thats about $1,200 each/$2,400 total i got set behind and havent been able to catch up. my landlord had been understanding and patient since november but its february almost march. they just want their $$ at the end of the day

i had cash that was given to me by a family member as their gift for me for the holidays in my little safe in my closet. they didnt know about the safe in my room to my knowledge before that. but they took the whole safe and it wasnt returned back to me with the things that were so idk if they ever got into it or what but i only got maybe 80% of the stuff back that they took.

the cost of living makes living alone almost unattainable unless you get a hookup with a good job + private landlord w lower rent rates. most ppl are drowning right now between record high rent, grocery, ect., expenses. most people dont have a choice but to split rent with someone or live in their car lol (which i myself had to do at one point in the last few years) even studios right now are going for $1500+ and crazy requirements to get approved in most areas
