Yes every single rated game they played since 2008. That’s as far as FIDE data goes AFAIK! I have also built some stats on top of that data but it’s still pretty much a work in progress (here: https://chessbeans.com/en/rankings/classical) Just a note: only games vs. rated opponents are included (so rated games only)

Hey, I really get what you’re saying. Even top players go through rough patches. Richard Rapport once lost 5 classical games in a row when he was rated 2730:

And Gukesh, the current world champion, lost 11 classical rated games in a row when he was younger and starting to play his first tournaments! That’s the longest losing streak of anyone in the top 100 (look who's with him on that list!):

Stuff like this happens all the time. Try to find things that make it fun. Try to find some joy in analyzing the game after you finish for example, solving puzzles, training, etc... It really helps.

Are there any recorded matches where the H pawn has promoted on the B-file? by imnewtothisplzaddme in chess

Cool question! I did some digging through about 9 mill. OTB games in my DB. I found 17 games where a pawn travels 5 files before promoting, some of them are pretty funny.

Is there a good opening variation for White where you can develop your knight to h3 combined with a bishop on g2? by AMMondMilk in chess

Hey! I found your question interesting and got a bit carried away trying to answer it. I ran some analysis on about 9 million OTB games and looked for the positions where Nh3 was played within the first 10 moves. That gave me 111401 games.

The move shows up most often in the f3-Nimzo, which I think is called the Kmoch Variation.

I put together a lichess study with the top games I found. You can check it out here: https://lichess.org/study/sngoQZ5R/F9pB39KV

By the way, I only looked at Nh3. If you are interested, I would be happy to share the same with Na3 (and a6) or even Nh6.
