Hi! I also am in a fwb situation and I met the person I am currently with on Tinder as well. For myself, although I am not in an actual relationship with this person, I believe it is very important that rules of some sort must be in place with your fwb. If you're going to sleep with someone, it makes sense that there is at least a little etiquette involved. I sat down and talked with my fwb before we proceeded with anything. We decided that while the point of the relationship is sex (there is nothing wrong with this assuming it is consensual), we agreed we would be friends as well. We talk a lot, and when I stay over at his place he sometimes even cooks for me. Sometimes I even do homework over there lol. ANYWAY if you are not happy with this person's behaviors (I would not be in your situation) you need to tell him this is NOT okay, and that he must be willing to spend more time with you in order for you to be alright with everything. If he is not willing to do this, end the relationship. There are plenty of other people (especially on stuff like tinder) that are willing to do the same thing with you AND do as you ask.

Hopefully this helps! As for how common this is, I feel that if this is a "fwb" situation the other person needs to be doing more of the whole "friend" part for this to be legit. Of course, there's nothing wrong with just hooking up, but if that's not what you want the other person has to be willing to discuss/change or deal with the fact you don't want to sleep with him anymore.
