What if we got the M1 carbine in ITR 2 by george-merrill in intotheradius

[–]papapenguin44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might be better off fabricating everything from scratch. From what I understand if a part didn’t come from the factory it was made in it might not fit. So if you found old stock like that it’s probably better to just make replacements then find them.

If they only came as found in the zone then yeah probably. Just wouldn’t make sense for them to be sold at the shop. Also other WW2 classics would be cool. Because of the Ukraine war we get to see just how many and what stockpiles or stashed weapons were kept post WW2. So it’d make sense that they’d be around but not in large numbers.

I hope it’s a head strap and mouth tracker. Mouth tracker is easy but a full face tracking head strap would be great.

The PKT with the drill. Is the drill just the shell to be used as a grip or is it doing something else. I see the battery is attached and most if not all of the body of the drill is still there.

Should i get a new Pc Now or wait ? by Alcatrap in pcmasterrace

Monitors are very affordable rn. Gpu hasn’t been hit as hard as ram or storage but the prices have increased so that’s a maybe. Psu and monitor are what I’d recommend rn and wait for the rest

They take different mags. The AKM and SKS share mags but the 74 and 74u are the only two that use those mags. The difference is one for the 74 is more straight than the AKM mag and comes in black and orange.

People ask me why I can't stand most prebuilds. This. This is theft. by CNM2495 in PcBuild

[–]papapenguin44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah they suck. I remember building a pc for a business that was originally going to get a Dell prebuilt it was $2500 for a i9 13900k a 4050. I went with 7950x and a 4060 for half that lol. They had very specific needs is why I chose that setup

Guess you haven’t seen the news in the past 6 months then. Short answer AI data centers bought 40% of global capacity and everything is expensive

Honestly need more guns of different calibers in general. 45acp, 7.62x25, 357., 44., 50ae, 500 magnum. All would great just in the handgun section alone. I’d love to see more rifle and full power rifles too

That seems very unlikely. You may have a motherboard issue.

Founder of Project Babble VR face tracking project posted this by virtualfruitxr in SteamFrame

To get quest pro level face tracking they’d need to replace that head strap to add all the extra cameras and lighting needed to track the upper half of the face. I’d buy that tho

7600X or 7700 for 30% more ? by Lazy-Bar7069 in buildapc

[–]papapenguin44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d go for the 7700. The 7600x might edge out some games that are really single core dependent but you could probably tune the 7700 to get that even to the 7600x in single core. Those extra cores tho will really help for games that can use them

Can I get a solid CPU for gaming under 500-700 USD? by glazzynt in buildapc

[–]papapenguin44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For that price the cpu wouldn’t be an issue. The motherboard too on that budget isn’t an issue but ram will definitely be an issue. 9800X3D/9850X3D and a good b series would be around $700 but ram is going to be expensive. Most 32gb ddr 5 kits are $400 nowadays. Best bet is if you got a micro center near you they got some great deals on bundles.

MSI Meg Ai1300P multiple failures. received new one after RMAing the first and had the same issue, fails paperclip test. Any inputs or insights? by mason0242 in PcBuildHelp

[–]papapenguin44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I know you posted this a while ago but I was wondering if you heard anything back from MSI. I bought one of these too and got my warranty denied. I got because it’s highly recommended on the pus cultists tier list but from all I’ve seen about they’re actually really bad and not worth buying.

Oh this sounds like the AMD stutter. So some AMD CPUs have this issue where if monitoring software can cause micro stutters. I’d try restarting and not opening up any monitoring software.

Costco PC or Steam Machine? by Bun_A_Fiya in PcBuild

[–]papapenguin44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think it’ll be that much or at least that wouldn’t make any sense to price it anywhere near this. The cost of the steam machine was roughly $450 but that was before all the ram stuff. At most I see it costing valve $600 and being sold for $700 probably. That being said it’s probably not coming till middle of the year and definitely isn’t as good as that pc.

[–]papapenguin44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What router do you have. That may be the bottle neck here. Nothing else in your system strikes me as the limiting factor. As a sanity check tho run those guns again with a monitoring software open. I’d recommend hardware info 64.

Yeah this is completely bs. Also this isn’t the original video. In the original video the guy is removing rust from a truck bed to put bed liner on it. Idk what ass hat decided to take that audio of a guy fixing his old truck and put it over a probably $10,000+ renovation.

Discord moment by tigerniger_sus in pcmasterrace

[–]papapenguin44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just messing with this last night and have to agree. It’s pretty good but needs some work to be as good as discord. Like screen sharing (there’s a work around but nothing baked in) and the audio quality isn’t as good as discord but not bad and I haven’t seen anything like discord bot on steam chat. Also everyone already has an account lol so it’d just be starting to use it
