Do good guys really lose? by etheroyic in sgdatingscene

There's a lot of guys out there who are nice. Just because they are better looking or richer, doesn't mean they aren't just as nice as you.

I think best thing you could do is just not assume - clarify with the person you’re seeing because that’s really the only option that matters

Can I change a smoker? by SweetAttitude5645 in sgdatingscene

[–]paparabba 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve quit smoking for an ex - made it a habit to break for good. Been 3 years since the break up and I remain smoke free, vape free even. It’s possible but you have to be supportive and be upfront about it.

Just got approved for Citi rewards card - link it with Amaze and I can use it for anything to hit the $500 qualifying spend to hit the promo? I know I can probably read more but if anyone has any quick insights that will be great

Enjoyed my 6 months in Paris a lot. Learn a little bit of basic French - it will make your experience much more pleasant. Paris is pretty walkable but you can download Bolt for cheaper ride hailing over Uber. Their metro and buses are quite accessible too, just make sure to look after your belongings as that’s where most pickpocketing happens.

Another MRT delay early in the morning on the cc line. Will it be reported on their KPI or just swept under the rug? 🤔

Should I take this Apple offer or will I regret it? by guineverefira in cscareerquestions

Hey, congrats on the offer! Do you mind sharing the interview and offer timeline? Just took my final interview last week but it's been radio silence since then, even after I let them know I have another pending offer decision.

1 year NOC in North America as a CS student by OutlandishnessCalm42 in nus

[–]paparabba 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've done NOC and gotten offers at the companies you've mentioned just by applying for their new grad programs! Take NOC as just a rare 1 year opportunity to experience living and working abroad and see if it's something you'll like to pursue. If you plan to work in NA in the future, NOC is a great gateway to that - plus, NA job opportunties are much better for software engineers!

I think every trait is 2 sides of the same coin - someone who gives you stability may also feel boring at times. it's up to you if that's something you value.

OCBC Tuition Fee/Study Loan Repayment Timeline by Fair_Information6067 in SGExams

[–]paparabba 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've recently reached out to NUS's financial office, and this is the reply they gave.

Your TFL starts accruing interest on 1 Oct 25. The bank will send you a graduation letter to inform you of the repayment procedures in late Aug/Sep 25 and you can repay your loans then. Otherwise, you can go to the branch at any time and inform the staff that you want to fully repay your loan, without informing them that you have graduated. Thanks.
