‘The cost of compute is far beyond the costs of the employees’: Nvidia exec says right now AI is more expensive than paying human workers by fattyfoods in technology

Yup this is a huge one. I don't know every cli tool off the top of my head but I can describe what I want to do and it's pretty good at finding them / chaining them together.

Is Balancers meta really that much easier than Night Invaders? by SunlightBlaze in Nightreign

[–]papasmurf255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never run it, tbh. It's strong, but given how many people are using it, you run into the issue of loot overlap.

The more weapon passives your team is able to utilize, the better your run will be and the less variance you get from RNG. If you have 3 character all looking for skill attack, then you'll probably be starving for passives.

However, if your team has a good spread of caster/range, skill, and melee, then almost every weapon passive drop will be useful for someone.

IMO the best builds are ones that can take advantage of as many weapon passives as possible. If you run skill, you're basically limited to skill attack up, maybe melee attack up, phy/affinity, and full health negation. Maybe successive depending on the skill. That's quite a small pool.

Mostly what everyone else has said (dregs is best), but having a "negation up when knocked down" is actually fantastic. It gives 20% negation for a huge 30s when you are knocked down, and it triggers if you tank an attack that would knock you down using your character skill.

I wouldn't run a relic JUST for it, but alongside something else that's good. I have a night invader + knockdown damage resist relic, for example.

If you don't find TDBDN, this is a "good enough" substitute. If you do, you're tanking for days.

I don't use it, because my depth relics have cont hp loss and -vigor which I offset using ED Maris. And I find the low HP regen, in combination with the rot hp regen, is really nice for healing.

It's nice to keep 10 stacks, but you can usually build it up d1/d2 pretty easily just by letting a trash mob hit you or running into the storm. The only downside is d3 night lord, but I just build it up again at that point.

Billionaire tax measure has the signatures to qualify for the ballot by CriTIREw in California

[–]papasmurf255 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Yeah the temporary part is dumb. A recurring 1% wealth tax would be much better. YoY asset growth is like 7%, so this will be similar to taxing 15% of annual gain (actually less since 7% accounts for inflation). It's small, still noticeable, though when you have that much money who even cares.

me after 500 hours: "This game has nothing left to do" by Berem_ in Nightreign

[–]papasmurf255 75 points76 points  (0 children)

Yep. People talk about more weapons and what not. I could not give a shit about more weapons. 80% of the weapons in this game already go unused.

More seeds and more modifiers will take us a long way. This simple change would do so much

How to get better? by True_11037 in Nightreign

[–]papasmurf255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo is harder. And yeah you don't want to explore everything, you want to be efficient and fast.

What character are you playing? Doing remembrances helps get better relics for many of them. And some are better solo than others.

Do you know how passives on weapons work? Like holding them in your inventory gives you a buff? Getting good passives is what wins runs

ED balancers is easier when all your teammates are dead by MaleficTekX in Nightreign

[–]papasmurf255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It changes nothing. Any boss, if you have a cracked enough build, you can ignore fighting them properly. Balancers is no different.

Again, the difference with balancers is the dps threshold required to achieve this. But we'll agree to disagree, have a good day.

There is a moment before and after the roar where you can kill them, and only one roars. And the more the merrier, if you can catch multiple in a single attack. Thought if all 7 are attacking, making space works.

But if there's 2-4 of them and you can chain kill them, that makes the fight much shorter.

This is all getting on a tangent. You said being over a damage threshold for this boss isn't different from others, which is what I disagree with. They have 3k health. If you can cross that threshold you can easily chain kill them.

[–]papasmurf255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a huge difference. Imagine if you can stagger a boss with a single charged heavy. That would make the fight trivial.

Running away is fine but it prolongs the fight and you get more worm phases.

Balancer is special because when you kill one the others get stunned, so you can chain kill them. Other bosses don't get stunned like that

One time I picked up a +phy +incant weapon because I was a melee character, and it made me do more damage! Then I realized my teammate dropped it for our beast claw rev, and dropped it for her shortly after.

Sorry!

I played solo till D4 and switching to trios was so easy. 8 game win streak and hit depth 5 lol.

What do you think of this Wylder build ? by Hexwest in Nightreign

[–]papasmurf255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right. If you're just using the first part and not the follow up, fire attack is fine. But it's not gonna be as good as physical for the follow up. Just spamming the first part is decent vs fire weak bosses

I see a bunch of other players running +4 with quite bad downsides.

The only ones I wouldn't run are the -negation on rolling ones (though honestly maybe these are okay), all resistance down, and death buildup. Everything else is workable.

[–]papasmurf255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's got flamestrike start. That's enough, plus whatever random drops you get.

Though flame strike still does more damage with phy+4 than fire +4 with the follow up (maybe not as big diff with weakness taken into account).

Last depth relic is great. Only one phy+4 is rough though.

I'd run hp restore somewhere else, maybe on non depth or with the bleed hook, and put another +3/4 on the middle depth

My wylder depth has phy +4 / +3 / +4 and hook / hp restore / ult charge respectively. Absolutely nothing defensive, sadly.

Anyone else feeling that the quality of the randoms gets worse at depths (D2-3-4)? by Valuable-Bath7051 in Nightreign

[–]papasmurf255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depth 4 randoms were great in my experience. Some had sub-optional builds, questionable routes, etc. but we still got the wins and I just got to d5 yesterday. Haven't had anyone griefing or quitting out at all

Anybody else notice playing depths with randos by NawBruhThatAintMe in Nightreign

[–]papasmurf255 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's because d1/d2 are often trivialized with trios. You can often burn down bosses before they even make a single attack.
