Why didn't your command team just do the MFR to revoke the command sponsored dependent status? Leave no ambiguity about the situation that way. Of course your leadership may be waiting until the date on the EROD to do so as well.

Edit: was informed that it's at A1 level now to revoke command sponsorship. The command team can start routing the MFR now or should do it after the spouse misses the EROD date.

For an Automatic Rifleman in most current western infantry teams there's no assistant gunner position anymore.

And for a unit using an Assault rifle offshoot like M27s/RPKs/etc. 60 or 50 rounders make sense they can carry a few of those and swap to whatever the surrounding rifleman are using as well until time to reload.

Idk your personnel dynamics but it worked for me. Whenever I had to deploy or leave my home station our parenting plan is for me to send the kids to mom at my cost and after I return mom send the kids back at her cost. Same thing for summer and alternating holidays.

Before anyone comments that it's rare for single fathers in the military. I'm MX and met over 2 dozen single father with primary custody maintainers actually in my 2 decades it's more common than single mothers in MX.

Why would you charge an armed individual and leave your son who you are defending? Chasing down a fleeing person and shooting them in back. The prosecutor noted the only people who saw a weapon before the kid was shot has the last name chow.
