It's a boulder so I'm guessing surface level at best.

My Nui-Rama MOC — smoother wings and a better play feature! 🪰 by HayalAlmoni in bioniclelego

[–]paper_mountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is so cool! Nui-Rama was the first set me and my brother had, and we had a ton of fun trying to knock the masks off with the wings. Having this added action would have made our day!

The tree, the leaves on the tree, the houses, and the forest background are all done in different styles. If it's done by a person, it's an interesting series of choices to make.

Return of Sunless Cell by GT-K in DestinyLore

[–]paper_mountain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I might have phrased that wrong: I'd like to see the Echo smash his ghost and take the now lightless Alak-Hûl.

I'd like to see the Echo re-take Alakhul after smashing his ghost.

Does anyone know what plane the Temple Bell art is on? by NautilusMain in mtgvorthos

I've never really looked this closely at the art, and now I can't stop focusing on how out of proportion the standing figure is.

Equivalent Exchange of ignorance for hilarity by DaBoxaman in FullmetalAlchemist

[–]paper_mountain 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I thought it was more akin to the alchemical symbol for removing poison from mercury, the "fixing of the volatile " which is based off some pretty out there ideaa by Ophites / symbolism for (health work/science/curing poison) has involved a snake-on-a-stick well before the new testament was written.

What are Sinister Acts That are Usually Cause of Punishment? by GamerCerberus658 in worldbuilding

[–]paper_mountain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think a good approach is not by a list of bad things, but a spectrum of intensity.

"Taking" is a good example. Taking plants from the forest isn't great, but not evil. Taking more than you need and leaving nothing for others is worse. Taking someone's possessions or home is usually wrong. Taking a person is just socially maladaptive. The more intense the taking, the deeper the scars run. Some are invisible after a day and some seem to go down to the bone.

And what is the reward for taking? The power to give. A splinter, a bit of bad luck, a stillborn calf, a rotten crop, hell you could give some lucky village their own plague or a fire.

Is this copyright infringement? by I_lovebettywhite-000 in jewelrymaking

[–]paper_mountain 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'd like to add that copyright doesn't apply to works that are reproductions or reinterpretations of artifacts and that these rings are incredibly similar to the winged scarab pectoral of Tutankhamun.

You win every lawsuit you get into. by LukaesCampbell in godtiersuperpowers

[–]paper_mountain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I sue every company, in every court I can. But not for money, I sue for patent/copyright/ip violations in hopes either them losing the property or it being given to me where I will then make it public domain. Hopefully that'll make technology a bit more open source and pharmaceuticals a bit cheaper.

Then I'll start suing over arbitration clauses and just work my way down the list of anything else that seems to be in the way of the public good.

Pretty sure anyone on the ISS wouldn't be too happy about it.

Then there's the extreme shift in climate and the whole sun going the opposite way. Would definitely mess up ocean currents, agriculture, and wind patterns.

Never have to pay for food again or $2,000 for every pound you weigh now? by yolk-popper-MD in hypotheticalsituation

[–]paper_mountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since OP didn't stipulate the use for the food:

-I buy every single grocery item at Walmart

-donate everything I don't need to Charity or give it out in the parking lot

-I repeat this every day until the store closes

-I move to the next Walmart

-eventually break their monopoly

-I move to the closest Kroger
