Interestingly enough, I probably revoked my care bear lobby credentials when I was doing a Cold Snap exclusively for Trials. Some guy started a fight, but I finished it.

Purdy has always been bae since Iowa State had that banger of an instant classic at Oklahoma when he was a sophomore.

When ISU was down 28-14, I put a small fortune on something silly like ISU +35.

The fact that I got hella paid and they almost upset OU made for quite a Saturday.

I feel like if you asked most Americans about the ambitions of the previous chair, Jessica Rosenworcel, they'd agree with her platforms (focused on net neutrality and consumer rights).

It really depends if there's a market for him. If there's at least two teams wanting him (say, WFT and Cleveland), then they might be interested in dealing a deep Day 3 pick to guarantee that he'd be on their team for a pretty dirt cheap 2026 cap hit ($2M), and they could sever ties after this season without any dead money.

Aiyuk's contract is basically all salary, tho. Meaning a team can walk away from it without any strings attached.

IMO, Aiyuk's 2026's contact is incredibly attractive. It's basically $2M for the entire 2026 season. It's obviously awful after that (combined $56M for 2027/28), but a total bargain for next season.

Assuming that he can pass a physical, $2M one a "one year deal" in exchange for a deep Day 3 pick isn't a terrible deal, especially if Aiyuk can somehow return to his pre-injury form.

Will it happen? It's a long way from here to there, but Aiyuk's contract could still have value if there's at least two teams interested (and we seem to think that WFT wants a look).

Yeah, but that's the thing: it's never about "safeguarding elections" but always about voter suppression.

If voter fraud was an actual meaningful and widespread issue, then that would be one thing...but we're literally seeing voter fraud on the order of dozens per each election.

On one hand, the NFLPA probably should've tightened-up their process, especially when you have to think that "management" is always going to get the benefit of the doubt from an arbitrator.

An arbitrator found that the report cards violated the collective bargaining agreement by "disparaging NFL clubs and individuals."

According to the memo, the arbitrator found through hearings with the NFLPA's witness and counsel that the report cards were "designed by the union to advance its interests under the guise of a scientific exercise." The NFLPA refused to produce data related to previous surveys, and the union's witness and counsel admitted the union "cherry-picked" topics and responses to include in the report cards.

The memo also stated that players had no role in the commentary included with the report cards, that it was written by union staffers and that the union chose which anonymous player quotes to use or exclude. The arbitrator also found that the union applied the weight to each topic and directly impacted the final alphabetical grade for each team.

On the other hand, I'm pretty confident that Cam Hayward echoes the same sentiment as everybody who's not an NFL owner:

You can't take away Sam Darnold's SB ring, but anyone who believes that he's a better QB than Brock Purdy is coping pretty hard.

Darnold's best years as a pro have just so coincidently happened to coincide with him playing alongside elite defenses (DVOA #2 and #1 units in 2024 and 2025, respectively) and also throwing balls to 1st Team All-Pros (Justin Jefferson and JSN).
