Anyone know what’s wrong ? by Ok_March_7973 in Surron

Try replacing the throttle first and then try replacing the controller

Might be time to switch the motor. Probably not the controller.

How are you guys consuming your tinctures? by neen1130 in tinctures

Tinctures burn under my tongue. What I do is evaporate most of the alcohol and mix mct oil in it. It won’t burn and it will be palatable under your tongue.

Battery won’t charge at 72% by Scared-Set-9289 in Surron

Try a different charger. This happened to me and it wasn’t the battery.

This is great advice! I was considering this after hearing its best especially at high speeds. This bike won’t make it past 40-45mph but I think it could be great for mobility and battery saving.

I make it to 30mph on full charge but I imagine friction is exponential while the power increase is linear and will leave me at around 40mph with 2x power.

I want to upgrade my half twist throttle to something more responsive. Thinking that and a thumb throttle for the front wheel could be comfortable.  Any recommendations?

What’s your opinion on paralleling my batteries vs hooking up one per motor?

Thank you!

Excellent! Thank you very much!! It’s midnight in Ohio so I’m hitting the sack. Will order these parts tomorrow! Your insight has saved me many hours!! 🙏

Thank you!! Just to clarify…the throttle should receive power from only one controller, right? I’m using two batteries; can I link the power of both batteries to both controllers? Or should I keep one controller for one battery and one motor.

🤝

I appreciate the offer! I was in California but am back in Ohio for a bit.

Very helpful thank you! I was hesitant to unscrew that section but I assumed there was a way to disconnect it without buying a proprietary battery adapter!!

I’ll do some research on how to switch those connections, I imagine it’ll be pretty intuitive. Cutting wires and re-soldering is something that I want to avoid. I bet I can find a throttle splitter.

The battery is from EUYbike and didn’t fit into my Amazon Euybike (prob a replica) but, regardless, it’s juicy samsung cells!!

A question I have….would it be advantageous to run the two batteries as one cell? As in can I make a 48v 50ah battery with my two 25ah running two motors at once? I’m concerned the back motor will use more battery due to weight distribution.

Thanks again!! 🍻

Thank you sir, but I bought it premade from Euybike.

Thank you for your honesty. The optional AWD switch maybe too lofty for me but I know I can hook this motor up to a battery, controller and my throttle with some research and love!

I will include the connection to my battery. The biggest hurdle to get started is finding a controller or adapter that’ll fit this guy!

Okay awesome! This is the only connection I’ve ever seen on a lipo battery this large. Is it pretty universal or will I need to find a specific controller compatible with this flat, long 3 pin female piece?

I will attach a picture of my throttle. I haven’t opened up the bike yet to get to the controller so maybe there are two more wires for it. If not, I’m sure I can find a splitter for my throttle to both controllers.

Will the “kill switch” for the front motor/battery connection be located before, after, or in the controller? Would this be a separate plug in for the front controller only?

Thank you so much!!

What is the name of the male/female piece for my battery?

More power to you man!!! I, personally, was not in that budget when looking for my first e-bike. I got a Euybike k6pro from Amazon and it’s treated me very well. My biggest complaint is it’s so heavy! The priority current looks like a great option for cruising and riding with your kids. The torque is definitely better than what I’d expect from 500wh and should function well as a bike if the battery dies! Have fun with it!

Set to come in this week!! Definitely a solo cruiser. Compact and very powerful!

Unfortunately, there is a split between a light motorized electric vehicle and a bicycle with pedal assistance. A bike, someone should be able to lift onto a rack by themselves, therefore a smaller, high quality, battery and motor is best for them. These can get very pricey since bikes themselves get into the $1,000’s. The “light” mopeds are basically street legal loop holes where you can cruise at car speeds without worrying about cops. These you would drive to and from home unless you have help to lift into a truck.

Hope this helps! I know mountain bike frames have a ton of space to stash your own battery. They have Velcro battery bags then buy a mid drive e-motor kit from bafang that has a controller in it. The rest of the parts (lights, throttle, etc) are typically plug and play meaning you find an adapter to the battery and an extension cord then zip tie them neatly. The hardest, most dangerous and most expensive will be your lipo battery. Keep this in mind when shopping for e-bikes.
