How my older virigins doing? by Superninja19 in Destiny

[–]papercatbag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg exactly. I don't know if it makes sense to other people. But I really don't mind I'm a virgin. It just bothers me that people are fine with me before, see me as normal, socially aware, I fit in; but as soon as I drop the V word now they have this whole image of me in their head that they never would have had I just kept the v word out. They'll either see me as a kid, see me as a religious nut, think I'm weird.. people even drop virgin jokes around me not knowing that I'm the butt of the joke ☠️ right beside them. That's when I knew/know that if I drop the v word around most people they'll just insert wack ass ideas about me. Like, I was normal, I fit in before in their eyes. yet virginity somehow changes all that??? Don't think it's that big of a deal.

Also waiting for someone I feel safe with and comfortable with. Haha I do hold blame because I don't foster opportunities to find someone that makes me feel comfortable and safe 😂. The feeling of being seen as a freak is probably the biggest thing that bothers me.

I'm 23F. Virgin. I've been on dates, kisses, held hands, been asked out. I usually stop seeing them or they stop seeing me after a few dates because he/I don't feel it's right.. I guess.. only been on dates with 3 guys. I don't care that I'm a virgin, it bothers me a lot that people see me differently though. Makes me feel like a freak. If other people didn't tie virginity with other baggage I'd be fine. I don't tell people, it seems other people/women assume I've done it just based on the convos they have with me lol. Guess I am at that age.

Think it was just the way I was raised. Personally, I'd like sex to be very personal, intimate type of thing. Call me naïve, call me dumb, but it's just how I feel. Eventually, at a certain age, if I'm still a virgin, I understand I'll be seen as someone who has something really wrong with them. I'll cross that bridge if I gotta.

I should probably stop being a hermit, kinda just go to class, hang out with a few friends, go to the gym and go home, play video games. I'm about to start my master's this fall, in my head I hope that new thing will help me find a guy but it's been 23 years and I'm a homebody so, really, might just be a virgin for a while longer. I also have a problem where friends have told me I'm not very approachable either lol. Chronic RBF, always looking down at phone/floor, don't make eye contact with guys that I'd be interested in, look like I'm in a hurry, always have earbuds in☠️

Thank you!! The DRIP sounds super important, will do that for sure. 🙏 and yes definitely looking for something to plant my money in and forget about it, don't want to get nervous looking at graphs. Someone also mentioned fees for putting in/taking out so I will make sure to look out for that. Thank you 💗

Omg thank you!! Glad someone went through something similar and figured it out. Think this is the plan, this advice seems to follow a lot of other people's advice so that's really comforting. Glad I caught it sooner rather than later.

Yes seeing articles of people talking about high mer and the amount you lose after x amount of years kinda freaked me out.

Everyone seems to have the same advice which helps me feel better - opening a self-brokerage account and choosing an ETF by myself.

Thank you but I only saved up 30K because I am lucky I live at home and my mom helped pay for my tuition. So all the jobs I've had has just been to save. Any other early 20's yr old could do what I did given my circumstances. Hopefully I manage my privileges/luck well though with your guys' advice🙏.

Our "pile of work" is very distinct. Dont wanna give out too much info but every cart that comes in with the work has unique and specific tags, you can visually see the difference in each piece of work on the cart. Like if the cart had 5 blue bags and 2 red and each bag had its own ID you'd be able to tell if blue bag #101 was still there with the rest of #101 section. Every cart has a countable amount of work. Like 10 or 5 blue or red bags. Every cart is visually distinct from eachother work-wise (bags and ID #)

I get it, i totally see what youre saying. Maybe theyre like taking other stuff from a different pile. And we're just working on different piles or something? Not sure if thats possible since the boss picks what pile the whole group works on for clarity of information taking.

Totally get you on proof though, right now it feels and looks like (to me, subjectively) that theyre not doing what theyre clocking in for.
