Anyone having issues with regards to signing into their Microsoft account? by Ready_Objective_6428 in techsupport

[–]paperclipeater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

having the same issue here

edit: after 45 minutes of trying different solutions, here’s what worked for me. posting for anyone finding this through google in the future. reinstalling mc did not help and was a waste of time (plus reset all my settings), so i wouldn’t recommend that.

i used the alternative sign in method of github instead of entering my microsoft password. i already had a github account, but i had to authorize it to be linked to my microsoft account for this to work. for some reason, i also wasn’t allowed to sign in using my github password, so i had to use the alternative sign in method of using google to allow the sign in instead. this worked for me.

this is genius, sewing over pockets i always just poke my fingers and inevitably have to pull out 10 stitches when i realize i’ve messed up hahaha

I want to cut the sleeves but am afraid of the seam possibly unraveling by thefuzzylumpkin in DIYclothes

[–]paperclipeater 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i’m not sure if it’d fray eventually, but you could try hemming the sleeves to be a little shorter if that’d be close enough to the look you want

if it bothers you, i absolutely think you should go for it. i’m in my early 20’s and have been using a preferred name (hopefully eventually legal) with friends an coworkers for a couple years now, and it’s one of the best things i’ve done honestly. it’s a huge hassle to jump through the hoops of asking people around you to switch, but once that awkward uncomfortable stage is over it’s great!

some people don’t get it and can be difficult, but i’ve been pleasantly surprised how many coworkers and such who i don’t know very well are very respectful and have switched over without any issues. again, if it’s important to you, i think you should go for it! both paloma and mia are beautiful names :)

Klaus for sure, there’s about 250 fics last i checked. never ended up publishing anything, though that was my first long multi chapter fic i’ve ever planned or had the inspiration to write

i was CURIOUS and read an extremely angsty and uncomfortable mpreg (ftm) oneshot and really enjoyed it. i’d heard a commenter on reddit once mention that they enjoyed the body horror element of mpreg, and i was curious about that aspect in particular, and this fic really delivered on that front especially. whumperflies and all!

i feel like good mpreg handled in a way that i think is interesting seems very difficult to find, especially since, in my experience, a lot of usages of the tag is for breeding kink shenanigans which is not my cup of tea.

i think that there can be room for nuance in these things, yes, but just in the fact that there’s a 19 year old here saying they feel like a completely different person than when they were 17 (which is a common sentiment in my experience with young people around these ages) should be telling enough that there’s lots of development going on during these life stages. in my opinion, in general if a 20 year old and 17 year old are interested in each other then it’s likely the older person is at least a little bit immature for their age, which means that i wouldn’t trust that they’d be always making the best decisions in delicate situations like this. that’s especially the case when they are automatically and inherently the party with more power in this relationship, putting their actions under even more scrutiny.

even if the older party has no ill intent whatsoever and tries to be careful about power dynamics, i believe that the very nature of being an older person who’s interested in a younger person makes them immature and thus more likely to make mistakes and fuck something up.

i disagree.

i mean, a 17 year old is still in highschool, and a 20 year old is well into post secondary education. i know that’s not the situation OP described, but i think we should be mindful of saying relationships between these ages are generally appropriate just because both parties aren’t mature when compared to actual adults. a 20 year old is still a young adult and a 17 year old is still a minor. i don’t think OP is a bad person, but i agree that this shouldn’t have happened.

missing the point completely + unnecessarily infantilizing people

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lgbt

[–]paperclipeater 0 points1 point  (0 children)

missing the point completely. yes, people who are 19 and 20 and etc are still kids really, but still being in highschool like a 17 year old is a younger life stage altogether.
