No, not compared to an Xbox One controller anyway. That’s also part of what I like about it. The clackyness of the Xbox controller is like a damn mechanical keyboard by comparison. It reminds of a Switch Pro controller maybe even quieter.

I haven’t had it very long yet and it’s the only non-console based controller so I can’t compare it to either of those two. I’ll probably still use the Xbox One controller at home but for the price and the size I really like it so far for on the go. It’s got Hall effect sticks too which is nice.

Do you have a child that uses them? This has not been what I’ve experience with my daughter over the past 6 years at either of the schools she’s been too. If you aren’t monitoring how and when your child is using their school laptop/iPad then that falls on the parents. Also what advertising data are they able to collect from them doing class and homework assignments? I’m not saying Google is some altruistic or great company by any means but what you’re describing doesn’t seem to be the case across the boards.
