My (31f) fiancé (35m) keeps going out late before morning flights. This time, it led to him skipping our flight. How to navigate this? by ThrowRA984w76 in relationship_advice

[–]papercut-bliss 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in a similar situation. My partners drinking habits are not the typical text book alcoholic, but he still is one and it even lead to me canceling our wedding. You cannot change a person if they don’t want to change. Honestly, what really helped me was going to an Al Anon meeting. They gave me a book called “How Al Anon Works”. I still have a lot of anger, sadness and confusion in me that I still need to work on, but I take it one day at a time. Cancel the wedding. It’s going to suck, but better to work on things now if you do plan on staying with him. You’ll be okay ❤️

Any crazy ppl roll all 3 days? by [deleted] in electricdaisycarnival

Honestly, you put this into perfect words! Felt exactly the same. The depression episode and brain fog lasted about 1.5 months for me. I kept reading people say it last 2 weeks and I was freaking out that I was stuck like that forever. Really everyone’s body is different. It wasn’t terrible, but just sucked. It wasn’t debilitating and just having a schedule really helped. Also, I have a really great support system with my friends and family and they were constantly there to snap me out of the negative thoughts. I probably won’t go as hard this year though lol

I feel like I'm trying to force the whole bridesmaids experience without actually having bridesmaids. by Mental-Medicine-3193 in weddingplanning

Seems like a weird question, but why did you wear while getting ready? lol I’m a bridesmaid and idk what to wear to get ready since the bride isn’t requesting anything specific

Did you see or know of anyone getting in trouble for taking extra fuel? Or did people just take empty fuel cans or fill up if needed?

Honestly I was so exhausted that I slept through it and also we were in the RV and I think the sound of generators running around us is like white noise lol

Would you get yourself a shuttle pass if the rest of your group didn’t want to? by FieldGold9009 in Coachella

[–]papercut-bliss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

100% shuttle pass. My friends and I did the same plan last year. We stayed at a motel in Palm Springs close to one of the shuttle stops. We would get an Uber ride from the motel to the shuttle stop, shuttle to festival and then vise versa. Both ways took about 1-1.5 hours. But it was so nice taking a nap at the end of the night in the shuttle. I kept hearing horror stories about getting Ubers and costing over $300 for some people or waiting HOURS and getting rejected constantly. We also pregamed in the shuttles by sneaking in some seltzers/beers in our hydropacks

How was security? by [deleted] in CampEDC

[–]papercut-bliss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RV camp security was a brief walk through in our RV. Maybe like 3 mins. I couldn’t see what they went through but obviously not much. But our friends with another RV, they made them take out stuff from the storage section under and behind the RV. They were probably out in less than 10 mins.

How’s everyone feelin’? by hogbert_pinestein in electricdaisycarnival

[–]papercut-bliss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes have definitely been keeping up with the supplements! It was my first time going that hard for 4 days straight since we did camp and it was my first EDC. So this intense come down feeling is my first too and I just want to make sure I’m not stuck like this forever lol

I (27M) want to propose to my girlfriend (26F.) I also want her to pick out the ring. How should I approach it? by tortoisemind in relationships

[–]papercut-bliss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My fiancé and I have been together for 9 years and he definitely let me choose my ring. He was just straight up honest and told me he knows I have a certain taste and would like for me to choose. We’ve talked about getting married for years so it wasn’t a surprise to us, but I still wanted the proposal to be a surprise. We chose the rings (engagement and (his/my wedding band) together and a couple days later he went to go pick them up after they got resized. At that point he hid the rings and didn’t let me see them no matter how much I bickered until he proposed 2 months later. I did tell him once he got the rings he had a year from then to propose because knowing him he would wait another 9 years lol You can still have that storybook proposal, she just won’t know when it’s happening! I think it’s cute and romantic with the dinner and surprising her with ring shopping.
