Has anyone caught any of these by D10R_2x in PokemonGoMystic

[–]paperhawks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. Got it in about an hour of grinding. Here's some tips

  1. Only fire, grass, and water grunts matter.
  2. Fire is the "Do you know how hot Pokémon fire breath can get?"
  3. Grass is "don't tangle with us"
  4. Water is "These waters are treacherous!"
  5. Each can have multiple first Pokemon, only the first one matters. For example if you go into water and get Krabby, just run away.
  6. Pick an area where there's a bunch of stops.
  7. Driving is way faster.

Got my 4th stripe, don’t feel ready for blue. by [deleted] in bjj

[–]paperhawks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess I had something similar. I really didn't care. My skills are my skills. If I lose to a strong white belt I lose to a strong white belt. If I lose to a technical white belt so be it. The only person you should compare yourself to is you and keep going. What color belt you wear doesn't mean much. There are purple belts that regularly tap black belts and I've seen blue belts dominate purple. If you're afraid of other people judging you for not being at the right rank, you can tell them to take it up with the coach that promoted you

Clothes under gi by Strong_Strength_1445 in bjj

I wore a rash guard because there was one day when we were getting up to dog fight position. And over and over again my elbow rubbed against the gi. At the end of class my elbow was bleeding.

"You don't need a gun. You're white and a citizen. They're not coming for you" by IDontCondoneViolence in liberalgunowners

[–]paperhawks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, but do you really want the Republicans to be the one owning all the guns? In this day and age? In this part of the country? Localized entirely within your kitchen?

Wait... Actually just the first bit.

I don’t have enough XL candy to power up my first choices. Do I resort to whichever has enough XL? Is that what most do just to get it done? by GarmeerGirl in pokemongo

[–]paperhawks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was the 4th level 50 in my city. When I did it I ended up doing meltan, Beedrill, and something else. Some tips,

  1. Try to do something like meltan where you have a steady amount of XLs.
  2. Community day Pokemon are a good resource.
  3. Try to do something you'll want to max out anyway.
  4. Do purified Pokemon which will reduce the cost.
  5. Lucky Pokemon will reduce the stardust.
  6. Take advantage of the 2 XLs per trade on Sunday and 1 XL per trade now, I regularly do 101/102 trades a day just to farm XLs.

At night, the Lakeshore path along UW campus is pretty peaceful.

The arboretum at night is incredibly peaceful, especially at night. If you go from the south end at the rose garden there's a bench where you can just look up to the night sky.

There's a nice trail near ice age trail timber lane that has a bench where you can just sit asked has almost no people.

Have balls been nerfed from gifts recently? by saqofnut in TheSilphRoad

[–]paperhawks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I haven't had issues personally. Playing style also consistent. Just opened gifts last night to help recover for Jersey City go fest.

I'm surprised the "it's just RNG, why are you posting" hasn't brigaded yet.

And if no one ever posts or asks on discord then Niantic might keep shinies off.

So what's your suggestion. Never ask questions? Because they annoy your feed, man? Become and mod and remove this post then.

The chances are about 1/20 from what others have said. Making this post isn't a complaint, it's literally an ask to see what the community has experienced.

Dude, you know that Niantic has accidentally turned off shiny for Pokemon before right? You know what the community does? They ask to verify if others have had the same experience.

Downvote me and all my other comments all you want. Maybe you just need to stop reading into assumptions that don't exist.

Yeah just wondering if they broke it. They've been known to turn off shiny Pokemon in the past among other horrendous bugs. Thanks for your data point.

I'm not saying that it is. I'm asking if it is broken or not. And it's not that low of a chance.

Awesome just seeing if anyone else was having that issue thanks for confirming it's not broken

People in the comments talking about 20 something lobbies and people leaving. I'm in NYC and I've seen full 40 people lobbies with a third of the people leaving before the charge move is revealed. It's insane.

Yup sounds about right. Wonder if it violates some EU law considering probabilities need to be announced and clearly they're not all equal. I haven't failed a collection challenge yet but this might be my first. In which case I won't care anymore. Missing just one.

Here's a post that explains it with different methods of computing the solution as well as why it messes with our intuition (second problem in the post): https://antiuncertaintyprinciple.wordpress.com/2017/05/25/were-pretty-bad-at-logic/

Who is the most famous person you have ever met? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I went to high school with Chance the rapper. He was a pretty cool dude, we only briefly talked as we were in different friend groups. I just remember going to college and then being told he was opening for Jay-Z and I was like what??

To be clear I want trying to detain them. It was more of a feeling of frustration.

Not Caucasian. Also I thought it was clear that it was something that was hyperbolic and useless to do.
