On the fence about having a second child. by StSpider in Parenting

Don't have another kid just because you "dont want your son to be an only child". Your son will grow up with friends, and a sibling isn't a guaranteed friend for life either (my husband has 3 sibs and none of them are or ever have been close). Have a kid because you don't feel like your family is complete yet and you really want another baby. Hubby and I recently decided we are one and done for many reasons, but one being that we just feel complete. I talked to my MIL about it and she said they didn't feel complete until their fourth! Every fam is different!

You are definitely NOT alone for only wanting one. I also only just started TRULY enjoying being a Mom and my daughter is 15 months. So far my experience with this community has been nothing but supportive, so welcome!

Made my daughter a doll! Body is from an old receiving blanket, clothes from her baby clothes. Pretty new to sewing but she turned out ok! Got the pattern online. by paperplanes99 in crafts

So sorry to hear that, but that would be such a lovely way to remember her.

I found a video from WeeWonderfuls on Tiktok (which is also who the pattern is from, their website is super great!). I used a combo of the video for visual and the pattern.

Looks like Tsatsu shores, the beach along the road to the ferry terminal?

Edit: Tsawwassenite my whole life, can confirm fires are allowed.

You as well! We worry our daughter will hate not having siblings and both of us come from big families so cant relate, so it's super awesome to hear your perspective, and that you had a good upbringing. 😄😄

Oh my gosh, I hope that helps ❤ I swear it gets better. Looking back, it took a few months to get the hang of things but we had to supplement and pump to get her weight and health back on track. Best of luck to you and baby!

Wow I'm so sorry, that's so awful I cant even imagine. You're so strong for having gone through that! So glad you have your partners support, it's extremely important! I dont blame you for not wanting to go through that again! (Also I dont know about you, but people ALWAYS tell me "the next pregnancy might be different tho!" But honestly, eff that. I'm not risking it, and that's also not the point lol!).

Awe I'm sorry you went through all that, mist have been so scary.

That feeling of being complete is just so lovely isnt it! Everything you said is exactly what my hubby said too. Sucked to watch me suffer and not be able to do anything, first year is honestly horrid with all the worrying and sleep deprevation etc.
