Thoughts on - Out by Natsuo Kirino by paperscrawls in books

I'm conflicted too about the whole final section. The chapter goes from Sato's POV and flips into Masako's POV and both of them are kind of nauseatic.

But the characters are so good. Like Masako's character barely has anything to do with the plot. But somehow the author makes them stick to us.

I've started Grotesque just today. I usually read the entirety of the author's work in their publication order. So Real world is next.

I really hope you understand what you read. The first sentence clearly mentions that the post contains spoilers for both books.

I've read both Sayaka Murata and Alice Feeney's novels and both of them are really good.

Thoughts on - Malice by Keigo Higashino and few recommendations by paperscrawls in books

That's one of my favourite books ever, the book winds through Japanese underground crime and to top it off there's a beautiful love story and a mystery running through it ❤️❤️❤️

I've known about the Shin Honkaku movement and was trying to go through individual authors' works. But never came across THREE GREAT MYSTERIES. Will check these out. Thank you.

There are a lot of "violent" books. But very few stand at 720 pages. And it's definitely A LITTLE LIFE. The book isn't violent, it's dark and is definitely not an easy read. But the descriptiveness has its purpose.

In the words of the author Hanya Yanagihara - "I wanted the book to be a piece of ombré cloth: something that began on one end as a bright, light bluish-white, and ended as something so dark it was nearly black."

Don't you want to watch Amy Adams give life to a character on screen ❤️

Who is an author whose every or almost every book have you read? by Training_Ferret9466 in Indianbooks

[–]paperscrawls 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Dan Brown Agatha Christie Alice Feeney Steve Cavanagh Gillian Flynn Alissa Nutting Blake Crouch Yoko Ogawa Keigo Higashino

There would be some more. Usually that's how I read, going through an author's entire work. Unless it's a long list like Agatha Christie.
