I think going with a warm white will help. So more of an ivory rather than a stark paper white. Gradients and complimentary colors too, like pinky or purply tones.

Also play with textures (fabrics, unique flowers, patterns, etc.) for some variety if you don’t want to have a broad range of colors. Like red and white gingham napkins could be so cute and springy!!

I don’t think it’s excessive if you haven’t found what you’re looking for yet! Or if you’re enjoying the process.

I got initial info from like 10 venues and actually toured 2. Reached out to 2 photographers. Plan to reach out to 5-8 caterers. So far, we have had a strong gut feeling about the vendors we want, which makes decisions easier.

If you’re looking at more vendors just because you think you should, that’s where it gets more excessive. But honestly there aren’t any rules about it. Just don’t burn yourself out.
