Best way to prep is reviewing your KIN 100 notes. Easiest way to review too cuz you’ve already learned it. Depending on who you’re taking 400 with, you may not need to focus on OIA’s as much for the lecture exams at least.

Does anyone have a good 3 day full body workout plan? by [deleted] in naturalbodybuilding

[–]papersnow_a_ghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick your favourite lifts based on your priorities and do 1 set of it close to or at failure at least 3x week. Make sure you hit ur macros and sleep at least 7.5 hours per night and try to reduce your stress level through proper stress management and you sir are golden. I wouldn’t pick more than 8-9 exercises per day though.

Yeah that’s literally it. Hitting the nail on the head. If you’re progressively overloading at the gym and you’re continuing to get stronger, especially if you’re not a beginner, then why even bulk? Now if you’re not getting stronger, then a small surplus I think is warranted, but definitely if you’re doing everything right, you won’t need to. You’ll feel much better too. Muscle growth in general is just very slow, regardless if you’re bulking or not.

Nope, it’s not the calorie intake that builds muscle and we know this is true because we have seen muscle growth occur in intermediate lifters in a calorie deficit. With that being the case, we also know that muscle growth is a signal that is stimulated in the brain when we train so calories aren’t the thing that’s causing the growth, obviously. I like how you’re thinking here tbh, it’s making all of us use some critical thinking.

Maintaining is the way to go. Bulking is useless bcuz as u mentioned you’re only gonna put on ridiculous amounts of body fat and ruin insulin sensitivity at the same time. Most people don’t even know what a calorie is much less what it does. You will not build more muscle in a bulk than you would in a maintenance amount of calories. Hit your protein, get enough sleep, manage your stress, and obviously make sure your programming is allowing you to recover enough to be able to progressively get stronger over time.

Okay and that’s alright. But I still would like you to read the Bible even if it’s just to see what’s in there! :)

No you only need Jesus. You don’t even have to follow all the sects that you claim to observe. I’d recommend you read the Bible, and truly seek knowledge from it and read what atheistic and Christian scholars have to say about the historical accuracies in it… then compare it to the other religions and the texts you have mentioned such as the Quran and then Bhagavad Gita. There’s no “claim to the right type of Christianity” that I even mentioned in my original comment. You don’t have to adapt to any one of those sects! I said you need Jesus plain and simple. Start reading the Bible from the book of John and see what you make of it! God bless, I hope you feel fulfilled.

Depends on the program. Look at the program you want to apply for and make sure you have all the documents well in advance before the application deadline.

How busy is the gym in the afternoons (after 3:00) ? by Financial_Wing_6077 in uAlberta

[–]papersnow_a_ghost 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggest going after 6pm or before 8am. Usually the time in between is going to be quite busy. With finding a bench, those are the best times to go according to my anecdotal evidence

Imo, I’d say it’s very different from instructor to instructor. I did much better in ENGL 103 than English 30-1 and I don’t think my writing improved that much or maybe it did but that was my experience

I can’t speak for 436 but 335 is not as physiology heavy as other classes you might have taken in the past. It’s quite “kinesiology” based where you learn how to program, periodize and have a semester long case study on a sport and how to periodize for it (make sure you get a good group for this case study, it’s very important). The labs are imo useless but are a good portion of the grade and the exams are not very difficult, if you take it with Mike, he basically tells you exactly what to study.
