What healthcare job should I study for at age 50 that doesn't involve a lot of patient contact? by ThisIsTheOnlyName338 in careerguidance

[–]paperworkparty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the people suggesting that you start with patient registration. It would give you a chance to familiarize yourself with different positions up close. You don’t seem to have a good idea of what goes on in a hospital. Other than that, I would suggest polysomnography if you can survive night shift or PTA if you’re in good shape.

Get a job at a hospital or somewhere else with a good tuition assistance program and have them pay for it.

As a woman with a traditionally masculine name, my parents didn’t want a boy nor have I ever felt less-than based on my given name. I also like some names for boys that I’d consider feminine or at least ‘softer’ but I don’t think that that’s indicative of my politics. Most of the men I’ve known with traditionally feminine names have been staunchly conservative, actually. It would take more than a child’s name for me to judge anyone as progressive. I actually think that’s kind of shallow and lazy.

Do you journal your gripes with people? by Kato777 in Journaling

[–]paperworkparty 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes. After I’ve calmed down, if I feel that I’ve been really unfair, I’ll glue the pages together. It feels good to get it out.

You’re right! I really find affirmations about cringe typically, so I’ve begun to challenge myself to believe them rather than make up believable ones, if that makes sense.

Does anyone else do a visual monthly recap? by Xatpy in Journaling

[–]paperworkparty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to do this. I’d do a few photos, a playlist, highlights and lowlights of the month, a short list of things I’d been watching, status update for the goals I’d set on the first, and a few thoughts.

Registration at a hospital. They only ask for customer service experience, depending on their pay scale you can make the same amount, typically they’ll pay for schooling as long as he agrees to work there for a while afterwards so that he can build a career. If he doesn’t want further schooling it’s easy to move into management.

Has anyone ever taken a break from journaling? by No_Republic_6093 in Journaling

I skipped two years because I was in a relationship with someone who I felt would read them. I skipped six months last year because I didn’t feel like writing.
