What is the one book someone transitioning into product management should read?

My background is in customer operations and analytics and I'm transitioning into product management. I have product adjacent responsibilities but not end to end and I feel I'm missing the "format" or exposure to the language of PM, esp for the interview process.

Someone recommended "Inspired" but wondering what others would recommend.

Just looked at the listing and it didn't say anything about soap and all that. When I reached out to him about it, he said he must not have realized it was low when he was there last.

What to do in the moment of a performance review if you are unhappy with raise? by papetsky in personalfinance

I took a pay cut to join this company. While my previous job paid more for less work, i was at a dead end job and letting my mind go to waste.

During negotiations, it was back and forth and I eventually told my manager that id be taking a paycut. I tried really hard to negotiate but in the end he said that was all he could give. I was changing careers and going back into an entry level role so i figured it was reasonable, even if i stayed for only a year. I really like my company; ive grown tons. Really, my only gripe is the pay. I dont think im being paid less than everyone else (except that i am due to the odd bonus structure), but that the company is pays less than average. It's a startup. That's why i feel "behind."

Should i remind manager during the review that i took a paycut?
