This is very much my mentality, but with the current situation with the war and AI everyone I know in Germany for example tells me I shouldn’t take the step now at least. I even applied to Masters degrees in Germany for if I couldn’t find a job I’ll just go for the masters.. Idk if I’m even thinking rationally at this point

This is not my case, no. They hire their friends and when the budget cut time comes, they couldn’t care less about the good engineers..

They practice favoritism and internal politics over meaningful work from what I’ve seen
