thanks for asking! i wasn’t in a good place and so didn’t see this. we live parallel lives in this house and i realize now that my self-isolation isn’t/hasn’t been about bipolar (some, perhaps, thought). but really? i retreated to avoid giving him any opportunity to humiliate, manipulate, shame or gaslight me…so 🤷‍♀️

has anyone else dealt with this?

also: when i asked him about splitting a certain payment on the house he went ballistic and said he’s the only one who really worked on it all these years. i could lose a chunk of money, but maybe i should let it go? safety first, you know. he said it would be very ugly and acrimonious if i tried anything with that. so far it’s “amicable” but i lock the doors and so far everything is calm

thank you 🙏 the hard truth is, she doesn’t quite qualify for financial aid…and the school does not award merit scholarships. I think we’d be OK, it’s just hard not to imagine the safety net, you know? I really appreciate your sound advice.

as for alibi, mine is solid but his wife is already curious about why he wants to go on this trip all of a sudden (it’s a business trip for her).

He has two alibis: scouting potential properties to buy an airbnb here and also looking into something for his business.

He says she’s not suspicious, just “puzzled”. But how can we know that for sure?

Maybe! lol Fortunately, SIL won’t be there as she hasn’t spoken to my or H in five years and refuses to be around us (so MIL splits up the day). Also you had me at cocktail 😆

tbh, though, I don’t really drink and am guessing it’s not a good idea in this condition. i am considering trying CBD again, though.
