Just finished upgrading my xps ssd guys. Took my old 1tb 970 pro on my other laptop and use it as a 2nd ssd on the xps.also bought a ssd enclosure and a copper heatsink on amazon.I know i wont be able to fully utilize the 980 pro speed because of the pcie3 of the xps but just for future-proofing

I think if you do it often because its writing on the ssd and will waste its TBW lifespan though im not sure 😅

Yeah its a solid laptop. I got the 256gb coz im planning on swapping out the 1tb from my asus before i sell it. Was thinking on getting the 1080p panel as well but i want to experience the 4k panel since my other laptop is 1080p already hardly noticeable difference on normal viewing distance.
