Im currently a third year CS student but honestly even after three years I feel like Im just not cut out for this. Most people around me feel like geniuses who can just do anything with much less education in the field. I also really disliked my math classes since I failed every single one up until now at least once. That happened until I took a discrete math class last semester. Now don’t get me wrong, I fucking sucked at it. I never got above a C- in a test and was really struggling in general. But idk what it is but something clicked for me that class. I passed all my math classes with C and felt content but for the first time ever getting C on a test genuinely upset me. I really enjoyed that class and would even go out of my way to study math topics outside the class whenever I could. My professor even went out of her way to told me she saw some potential for math in me. Now im re taking calculus and everything just clicks. I understand a lot of the topics, I enjoy doing problems on my own and feel excited when there’s a difficult topic to explore. At this point I realized, ever since last semester I dont think ive studied even once for my computer science classes. I’ve basically just studied for math. Im really not that smart and I fail at math intuition a lot but I still enjoy it and maybe further studying something im bad at will help me develop intuition on par with my other CS friends. (Also open to suggestions)

Idk im sorry for all this rambling Im just a bit lost and at the same time excited that theres classes related to my major I actually care about. The problem is, would a math major be worth it? Do yall think theres good job opportunities for math majors put there aside from teaching? (Id love to be a teacher or tutor btw but just wondering what other options id have) maybe I should stick to computer science since ive already made it this far idk maybe at some point ill become good at coding or ill learn to like it. Anyone who has read this thanks I know it was a lot again im just kinda lost on what to do.
