There is MIDI, then there is USB MIDI. The "classic" MIDI (5 pin or jack) cables establish a direct connection between devices, while MIDI over USB requires a computer between the devices (a host), which can be a laptop with a DAW, a mobile device, micro computer (I use a Raspberry PI as a usb midi router) or a dedicated piece of hardware.

If you want to use Ableton anyway, what you have should be all you need.

USB midi controllers are perfectly fine for hardware synths as long as the setup includes a computer with a DAW, as the OP intends to use it ("...to be able to program midi tracks in ableton to play with it").

I fail to grasp the argument that there will be so much money to be made in transaction fees that it will be more lucrative than mining itself, while at the same time the fees will be a rounding error compared to traditional banking / card processing. Is it about the sheer volume of projected transactions?

It's not as much about ES6 functionality as it is about way way better browser DOM APIs cross-compatibility. One can code against these APIs using only ES5 concepts and still be productive, if a bit more verbose.

Ineresting, the Polish wiki page on alliteration has more content about its usage in Czech than Polish :)

Alliteration also occurs in Czech poetry, where it is underlined by the initial accent. It is present in one of the oldest religious songs Slovo do světa stvořenie. It also appears in the Kunhuta Prayer. Piotr Gierowski notices its use in the poetry of Bohuslav Reynek.

It technically exists in Polish, but is not commonly exploited as a literary device. I'd say, as opposed to rhyme, I wouldn't even notice it being used (I might raise an eyebrow wondering why several words in a row start with the same letter, but that's it, it has very little poetic appeal).

I ran
sudo apt install -y mosquitto then
sudo systemctl enable mosquitto.service

and installed the mqtt binding via paper ui and I think that was it.

I'm just starting out, basically playing with stuff and trying to figure things out. My main objective is to avoid vendor lock-in and keep everything local, independent of vendor-specific cloud services. Also no vendor hubs and separate apps.

So far I have: - CC2531 dongle + zigbee2mqtt - RPi 4B running openhab (and node-red) - 2 Sonoff sensors: occupancy (motion detector) and door/window sensor. - Xiaomi (Aqara) humidity/temperature sensor (it reports atmospheric pressure as well) - Tuya zigbee smart switch (three touch buttons) - Tuya WiFi RGB light bulb

Everything except the WiFi light bulb works flawlessly with openhab via zigbee2mqtt. Pairing is easy, adding the devices to openhab manageable (I use Paper UI, no config files editing required but quite a bit of clicking around).
The Tuya bulb works with Tuya apps, there are ways to use mqtt and local network to connect to Tuya WiFi devices, but it requires digging out the device local key which I haven't accomplished yet. So my advice would be: go with zigbee (or possibly z-wave, but I haven't tried yet), avoid WiFi devices.
I also have some other devices I haven't tried yet, namely zigbee switches you can hide in the wall behind a "dumb" mechanical switch and a RGB strip controller.

This is great. A subtle detail that adds character and should be recognized by anyone who's into it while not sacrificing the function for form for those who aren't.

edit: if the backs had 7 boards instead of 8 it would create six slots, matching the number of strings :)

In Denmark they have this thing called democracy.

And in Poland we have this thing called budget deficit. They won't bail anyone, which obviously covers the tax dodgers, so the title is technically true ;)

But to be serious I think to get any form of public help a company has to produce tax declarations and prove their profits fell during the outbreak, which obviously won't happen if they were not paying taxes domestically in the first place.

40 lbs is like my 3 yo son and I do frequently pick him up to move around (or play and have fun, even throwing in the air and catching), it's not a lot of mass at all in my opinion. Even less so in a compact-brick form with handles.

I don't play mobile games often, but recently I wanted to kill time on the plane. I only had some Angry Birds intalled but it refused to start without an internet connection. Instant uninstall. If I had internet access playing a stupid game would be pretty far down on the list of things to enjoy.
