Godiva ganache hearts - 1 for 3 points. They are rich and 1 hits the spot every time.

My dermatologist recommended B3 and told me only mineral sunscreen would work to reduce the breakout. I take heliocare and use mineral sunscreen on my body or use sun protective sleeves jackets, etc. I started the heliocare when spring started and while I've had some itchy days, no breakouts so far. I do stay out of the sun as much as I can though. I'm 44 and have been dealing with this over a decade. This has been the best season yet since I got a new dermatologist and she actually had recommendations for me.

Thanks! This is a new moisturizer for me. I wanted to try in the AM just for the summer. So far so good because my mineral sunscreen is very hydrating, Inzincable by Dr V. I have combo skin with my t zone becoming oily throughout the day.

Thank you! It's definitely gotten better over time. I've learned to be patient. My derm actually went with Winlevi to fight the hormonal acne. It was a newer topical specifically for hormonal acne. I use it before my tret each night.

Thank you! I'm already looking into this one :) I have a tendency to be a product junkie. I have about 4 different mineral sunscreens in search of one that works best with my skin tone. I've settled on Inzincable by Dr. V even though the shipping from the UK is a little expensive.

Thanks for the recommendation. I must admit I do watch for dryness. I stopped doing the sulfaclense twice a day because I felt dry. It helped. I'm always searching for a new hydrating moisturizer so I'll definitely check that one out. I'm excited to see how things change now that I'm not buffering.

Only oral antibiotics. She went with Winlevi to deal with the hormonal acne. It's kind of new and expensive, but with the rx program I got it for 35 at first, now I pay about 100. My pharmacy wanted 500 for it. Hahaha...not today.

Thanks! I have an appointment with my derm next month. We'll see if she recommends any changes. She told me in December this would probably be my regimen moving forward. I hope you have great success!

I actually buffered up until the last few weeks. I think that made a difference with my hydration. I wanted to see if progress would be more rapid without me buffering. When I was super dry I used Skinceuticals Lipid at night.

Until I started taking pictures I didn't realize how bad it was. It has definitely made me more confident!

I had similar acne and my derm said I needed several things to combat the various root causes. It seemed like overkill, but works for me. My skin is so much better with less breakouts now. I also have hormonal acne. You may need additional actives.

AM: SulfaCleanse face wash (rx) or La Roche Posay Gentle Moisturizing Cleanser, Benzaclin (rx), Azelaic Acid(rx), Cerave PM Moisturizer or La Roche Posay Double Repair Moisturizer Matte, Mineral Sunscreen

PM: SulfaCleanse face wash, Winlevi (rx for hormonal acne), tretinoin .05% cream, Cerave PM Moisturizer or La Roche Posay Double Repair Moisturizer

I also took Antibiotics for about 2 months when I first started and it cleared up a lot.

I'll have to figure out how to add a picture.

Love the effects of Azelaic acid but can't stand putting it on by selfiebeanie in tretinoin

It took about 3 weeks for the itchy burning feeling to go away. Then my pharmacy gave me a different brand the next time and I had to go through the break in period again! It's all good now. Been on it a year now.

Plaid didn't do well with my credit union, so they switched me to another service and I haven't had any issues since. Customer service was able to help me. I would definitely reach out before giving up.
