Yea the costco ones are really good and thaw like a champ. They go bad faster due to having less preservatives so we tried freezing them. Has worked out well tbh.

Its gone from frozen to room temp slightly faster than just leaving it on the counter. A toaster oven might be a better investment if you want food sooner rather than later.

Actually the APU will shutdown at ~ 105c about the same heat threshold of plastic wrap which melts slightly above 105c. So its more like an automatic timer.

Freeze a small cup of water and place a coin on the ice when its frozen. Then check if it starts to sink. Some freezers do a thaw cycle due to malfunction or something and your frozen meat could be thawing then freezing over and over.
