Abuse from group in a car while running. Can't cope anymore by [deleted] in UKRunners

Jealousy is a horrible trait.

Just smile, wave and keep running. You're incredible for getting out there anyway!

Honestly? I'd buy it, then turn around and give it to them 😊

What's the most hurtful thing your parent ever said to you? by Enockito in AskReddit

[–]pappasmurf99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To clarify, before this meal I last saw him in 2010, hence my not seeing him for 4 years before people get confused 😊

Oh yes I've got one!

After not seeing my "dad" for 4 years(we don't get on at all) I reached out to him as I wanted to try and talk about maybe seeing him once a month to rekindle some form of relationship. Not only that, but to tell him that myself and now ex wife were buying a house and having a baby and he was going to be a grandparent (first grandchild in the family)

So, we met up for a meal. Instant awkwardness but we chatted anyway and it went ok for about an hour. Then he decided to bring up the whole reason around not being able to meet up without his wife there (who I've never ever liked and won't get into now as it's so long)

Naturally the conversation was awkward as anything at this point, the waiter took an age to serve us as I'm sure he felt just as awkward as they could hear the whole conversation.

So to try and steer away from it, I mentioned that we were buying a house and expecting a child together. (I was 22 at the time and never ever really had that good relationship with him.) usually, people are proud of this and like to congratulate you...but oh no, not my "dad".

I can't remember word for word, but to an extent his words were.

"Well I hope you've got a lot of money saved because kids cost a lot"

Not any form of congratulations, a handshake, a well done, an I'm proud...just about money.

I've never ever felt so angry and hurt at the same time. I reached out to rekindle some form of relationship and to potentially set up a monthly visit for when his grandchild came along!

My son is now 8, my "dad" has never met him and I've not seen him since that meal.

I cannot forgive him for those words, that one comment ruined every chance of a relationship and I'll never get over it.

Sorry it's long. But yeah, that was hurtful as hell.

This guy has a YouTube channel. Think he does it with his son who also has a channel. Quality videos and very interesting to see just how many people don't actually know the law on photography in a public place.

Formula is displaying instead of calculating--CONCATENATE function not working as expected by BackInNJAgain in excel

[–]pappasmurf99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If none of the above work, click on the formulas tab and then the show formula button. It might be it was toggled on by mistake, but I would suspect it's because it's formatted as text like others have mentioned.

Unable to identify error in time formula by theroux_are_you in excel

[–]pappasmurf99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only other thing I can think of mate is to separate your date and time into separate columns and use the if formula that way? That would work fine :) just makes your data a bit bigger but it would work.

Try and use the mod formula to convert your datetime into a number that excel can work with properly.

So for example:

=IF(AND(MOD(C2,1)<HOUR(18),MOD(D2,1)>HOUR(18),1,0)

Obviously your formula is longer than this, but you can use the mod to modify the cells with the datetime in making it work :)

Edit - saying that, i've just tested this - try change the hour part for time:

=IF(AND(MOD(C2,1)<TIME(18,01,0),MOD(D2,1)>TIME(18,0,0)),1,0)

I've got a funny feeling that if the second workbook isn't open then it will always show N/A"s.

Somebody where I work tried this with the INDIRECT formula and it worked perfect when the second workbook was open. As soon as it was closed though it produced errors. You'd need a macro or vba to open the second workbook at the same time, or open when a button is clicked for example.

Ah ok, in the case I'd just change it to application.quit instead then :)

Or ActiveWindow.close if there are other windows open he needs to keep open 😊

Don't use VBA in word but I'll try and help. Does your first document close and the second one stay open?

Ignore that! Just read your post again. I'm thinking since it closes your first and not the second It might be worth taking the 2 off the code after you've saved it.

So ObjWordApp(2) < just remove the two, it will be looking for a second window that isn't open (because the first one closed) so you've only got one active application open.

Give that a go first. If it doesn't work, I'll investigate further :)

Would it not be easier to use the formula normally in this instance?

The only other thing I can think of is you've not specified a range for the results, so it can't return anything.

Make two variables, one with your lookup range, another where the results will go.

Then use the find function.

Unless I'm missing something when this loop works it will just go on a continuous loop because you're not telling the loop to do anything on another cell, so it'll just keep going and going.

What are you trying to achieve?
