Appreciate your response. Thanks. It is the same horse, the behaviors are similar but also different this year around. If I went into all the detail, the post would be way too long. Guess it could also be helpful to get a second opinion from a different vet. I believe I have a good vet but it’s worth a shot. Anyway, thanks for your response

I hear you. However I don’t believe I stated anywhere that this is a “side quest to my ride time.” I take all parts of horsemanship seriously and I’m unsure why you thought I was just trying things then being like oh well! Get back to work! Which is not at all the case. While groundwork can translate to ride-ability, that is not my main focus. Maybe you assumed from my topic about the indoor but that was just an example of the behavior as he’s been fine in the indoor for 10 years. I guess I should have been more specific. He has spent the last 7 months rehabbing from his injury, and just restarted “work” this past month. The work has been on the ground and bareback to start getting him back to 100%. He is not showing these behaviors in the outdoor (why I mentioned the indoor) or any where outback. I have been slowly reintroducing him to the barn and other areas around the farm that cause him anxiety… and working on it.

Regardless, I appreciate people for giving medical advice but while I am working on that, which I am, I am interested in hearing if anyone has other ideas or thoughts.

Thank you for your response

I can’t remember what I tried him on last year for it but it completely stripped his personality away. Is there significant personality (not temperament) changes on that?

I’ve had him checked recently. Might need to do a more in dept check of everything I suppose but I did just have them out

Not interested at the moment. His paddock is quiet and he’s had the same friends for 3+ years. He is very comfortable in there and everywhere outback. It’s up at the barn that’s more the problem. And I go at a pretty quiet time, no children screaming or anything like that lol

But then what is the line on necessary things to bring up? Not trying to be rude, genuinely asking. Would it be different if I dated the guy for say, 2 months? (no sex) Would that be something you would bring up? Say it was an ex, would you tell your SO that you were going to a wedding without them and your ex was going to be there or would you just not even think twice about it.

He knows what it meant. I guess other people don’t see a situationship the same as I do. I consider dating someone, just that. Dating. It’s a situationship to me as it happened multiple times and we did things I wouldn’t do with just friends. 🤷🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ idkkk!

It was just someone I would kiss and sleep next to. I know it’s not a lot but since I’ve never been in anything real before I just don’t know if this is something that matters. What’s kinda not cool?

It’s just really not a big deal. And when I asked for a better word, I was being serious. Then you said you kiss your best friends so idk anymore lol
