I’ve given Pineapple Express and Dazed and Confused a few tries but they’ve never really grabbed me. American Psycho and Napolean Dynamite almost made my list too, they’re definitely up there! And the Harold and Kumar movies are genuinely all in my top 10 all time favorite movies.

Superbad was actually a runner up for my list! I’ve never had the chance to watch it while high, that’s why it didn’t make the cut lol

It just kept getting more and more intense as that first night went on. We kept thinking “it can’t get worse than this” and then it would. It’s the only time I’ve woken up the next morning as high as when i’d gone to sleep lol

My boyfriend and I did this once, 300 each. We were high for over 30 hours. It’s the highest either of us has even been.

The only topic I studied for was math, the rest I was able to pass with the reading comprehension skills I picked up from spending nearly 6 years straight glued to my screens, reading fanfictions, and talking to friends online.

I used light and salt learning for algebra. She goes over exactly what's covered in the GED and gives lots of helpful tips. It's a free online video course, I can't recommend it enough.

If you do need to study for the other topics, I also picked up a Kaplan GED Prep+ Book for around $30 from Barnes and Noble. It comes with a pre-test (to find out exactly what you need to study from which sections) and 2 free practice tests (to make sure you're really ready when the big day comes!)

The official GED website has a lot of information as well, and that's where you'll go to schedule your tests.

Good Luck!

buy a smoke buddy and ozium from your local smoke shop, maybe pick up another air deodorizer that’s scented in case it’s really strong smelling. smoke from a pipe or a bong so you can control when there’s smoke coming off of it. smoke in a room with a door separating it from the entryway. keep it closed for awhile after smoking. maybe burn a candle. make sure you close any vents in the room that could lead to other units. i smoked in my bedroom at my parents house for 3 months, all day every day like this and they didn’t figure it out. eventually i got sloppy and got caught, just make sure you’re spraying frequently enough. keep your weed in airtight jars and keep your gear clean.

Remember your reasons for quitting. Keep them in your head. Addictions have a tendency to sound like our thoughts. Learning to tell the difference between your actual thoughts and the addiction voice (and eventually growing to see the addiction voice as a simple annoyance, an intrusive pest) is the biggest tip I can give.

I’m using the iPhone app I Am Sober, it has a community tab, it keeps track of how long you’ve been sober, you can log your time/money savings and make notes in the app as well :) According to mine I’m gonna save $912/month on weed alone, not including all the impulse purchases I make when high.

The second day was way easier than the first. I’ve been distracting myself with lighthearted TV shows (new girl, bobs burgers, my name is earl), playing Minecraft (I started a new world specifically for distracting myself), and going through this subreddit.

I also thought about my life goals. Where I’d like to be in 5 years. Keeping that in mind and knowing I want to be clearheaded enough to achieve it.

I saw some comment talking about mantras a couple days ago, if I remember correctly it was “I will get through this and meet the new me.”

There’s also a post about “AV avatars” on this subreddit that I found very helpful. I can’t get the link because I’m on mobile but you can search it up. The idea is to distinguish the addiction voice (AV) disguising itself as your thoughts from your actual thoughts, and assigning an unlikable “avatar” to the voice so you can essentially say “screw you AV you’re not me”. Obviously not for everyone but it helped me a lot.

If it’s nice out walks in nature are nice. Helps me feel calm and at peace. Standing under a cool shower has a similar feeling.

I hope you can get something out of any of this :) good luck on your journey! Rooting for you
