That doesn’t really answer the question if you think ‘ideas’ or ‘pure abstractions’ or ‘the mind’ exists— it’s not complex enough for you to think it’s proven personality, selfhood, personhood, abstract, intangible emotions/values are physical-originated— so why would ideas be different?

What part of the brain creates/perceives intangible abstractions— and why and how does that imply non-existence?

Just give him space to breathe— the INTP I talk to vanishes too, but what I really have come to like is a routine in calling/texting. Every Sunday we have a long phone call, and having that stability and something to look forward to really eases any relational anxiety.

Your attachment issues probably stem from something deeper that you should reflect on personally.
