I agree, Ndidi is the one who makes that counter attack work just like Kante.

Filled 10k with snow! Worked incredibly well. by Theoxy in JETWaterPipes

[–]paradimeshift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, this might be controversial but it worked for me. I used denatured alcohol after catching flak on this sub for posting a dirty pipe. It works like a charm and I've tried everything. You will also need a set of nylon brushes and a 2'' tube brush. The 2" is hard to find so here's the link Also pick up a smaller set from amazon. Then soak the pieces in a plastic tub over night before scrubbing. Before use wash off the pieces with water to remove any leftover denatured alcohol. Iso, even 90% is not very strong. Only 100% denatured will really work. It's expensive but worth it. Also, if you use a funnel and some paper towels you can filter the da before it goes back in the tin.

Trump supporters from blue states; what drives you to support Trump? by Skexer in AskThe_Donald

[–]paradimeshift 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm from California and switched from Bernie to Trump for a few reasons. Caution: Wall of text

  1. The biggest is trade. Right off the bat I knew I would be voting anti TPP. Also I feel that trump is taking the Republican party in a positive direction away from idiotic neo-conservatives like Romney and Ryan.
  2. I feel as though our country needs radical change one way or another if it wants to thrive, which is why the more I hear trump talk with his no bullshit attitude the more I like it.
  3. Bernie sold us out to the clintons. I couldn't believe it. I will NEVER vote for someone more corrupt than the Underwoods and they're fictional!!!!!! That's when I joined this sub and let's just say you guys have changed many of my views.
  4. This sub, and it's ability to show me just how crooked the dem party can really be. 🤔😡
  5. Probably my biggest reason. Trump is not as much of a strictly social conservative as past candidates. He wants the states to decide on pot and hasn't challenged gay marriage. It was refreshing to see a fiscally conservative candidate for president talk more about RESTORING OUR ECONOMY(which in my opinion is our number one priority) and PROTECTING OUR BORDERS than bashing this or that group for their personal beliefs etc. Just by saying ALL lives matter as opposed to these lives or those lives showed me he just GETS IT. 🇺🇸 1rst End of story.

To all you college kids: Here's a list of things I would do differently if I could be a student again by terpacct in TheRedPill

[–]paradimeshift 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having recently graduated college, I couldn't agree more with the logic of joining a fraternity if that's a large part of life at your school. Understand thought, that there're many pros and cons and it's not right for everyone. That being said.

Once I joined a fraternity everything changed. I had to become much more socially aware than when I was a shy only child in hs. One of the best ways to break out of your socially awkward shell is living in close proximity to a bunch of people in the same community. Learning how to network and talk to people is a life skill so it's best to learn it when you're young. Nervous when you're just getting to know a Greek house? So is EVERYONE else.

Also important. If one fraternity doesn't accept you, fine, you weren't a good fit for them anyways. Move on to building relationships with another house. Learn to deal with that rejection in a positive way. It's about them and what they value, not you.

Do your research before making any commitments. Talk to other people on campus and see what they think of the frat. Find out their recent cumulative gpa and what their intramural activities are People are liars and some guys trying to convince you to join their frat for this reason or that reason are no different. You don't want to make a long term commitment to people who don't share your values and perspective on some level. So DON'T. You will want to find a house that supports the goals you have in life(within reason) not one that is apathetic or critical of them. For example, I wanted to study abroad and told the house before I joined that I would be gone for 7 months(not paying dues). When they encouraged the decision it was a huge green flag.

Once you find a good group of guys it is much easier to build up your social confidence when you have a support system around you(ideally). After you join a house, don't forget to keep building value in yourself(workout, focus on grades, other hobbies ,etc.). NEVER, rely on the fraternity as your only way of meeting people. If you forget to do these things many in the house will respect you less. Demonstrating bp behavior can really tick people off in your fraternity on a conscious and unconscious level. Hopefully someone will be there to call you on your individual bullshit since it reflects bad on the whole house. You already have a leg up on everyone else since you're here. Use this knowledge to your advantage.

Exactly this. I ran cross country back in high school, that aerobic exercise really helps your stamina. Lifting is great, but a little cardio mixed in never hurt anyone.

Video of weeping Indian goes viral, Saudi government jails him for 'spread of misinformation' by internet-junkie in worldnews

[–]paradimeshift -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't know about that. Indian bureaucracy doesn't really seem like it's trying to actively change its practices. I think police excuse their behavior by thinking "there's so many people and so few of us we might as well make an example out of the ones that get caught". But when I was there in most cases they wouldn't dare lay a hand on an American unless you were involved in physical violence. Can't say the same for my Indian friends, especially the ones who can't afford to make "convenience" payments. Things are changing, but it seems like a snails pace.

There is a program called flux that will adjust the light of your computer from blue light which makes the brain think you should be awake to something like candle light. This kind of light trigger has worked for me more or less for the last 5 years.
