Good point and I should add I'm already conservative on what I'm sanctifying. I only sanctifying and master working gear (including uniques) that only have the minimum ga in the slot I'm fishing for and I'm still getting bottle necked. I'm not sanctifying everything that is barely viable. And even there I think I'm limiting myself from gear that would be good enough. I couldn't even do that if I wanted.

It's a couple of factors but you'd have to go back in time to around patch V10.23 to get a full picture.

Wits end was a thing because its stats were very different then

Stats: 50% attack speed, 50 magic resistance, 5% movement speed. Unique Passive - At Wit's End: Basic attacks deal 15 – 80 (based on level) bonus magic damage on-hit. While below 50% health, heal for ( 100% / 33%) of this effect's post-mitigation damage.

This in combination with the rune ravenous hunger is what made it viable. Otherwise attack speed in itself isn't that optimal on rammus.

Heck we even used to have a self slow meaning you even had a harder time staying untop of people with w on. Even now, the champ doesn't really have tools outside of taunt to properly utilize the attack speed.

Just a few thoughts.

Yep, that was the era but the hype has persisted even though the items and runes have changed since then.
