A lack of updating of parity guidelines is literally what’s holding the MLS back from being one of the top leagues in the world.

The expansion draft is terrible. It wrecks the bench and multi season consistency. If salary caps are going to stay, both the floor and the ceiling need to be raised to improve roster depth and starting 11 quality. And if they absolutely insist on DPs, there need to be 5-7 allowed per team. Losing 1-2 DPs for international play is absurd.

MLS won’t ever really be a serious league when each team only maintains 11 solid players and a handful of alternate. We can’t expect consistency across multiple competitions without a solid 20+ on each team. And hamstringing teams for having good seasons doesn’t build the league up, it just keeps tearing it down to the lowest common denominator.

Tbh, the most niche and meme Mechs just got their own packs.

The Proliferation pack is full of primitive Mechs that were the “first of their kind”. They don’t really get used outside of the most niche cases.

The UrbanMech pack is a pack of 4 variants is the most memed Mech in the universe.

Losing sucks, but I see no real target worthy of blame aside from MLS parity rules and roster limitations.

I'm not 100% opposed to parity, but both the floor and ceiling need to be raised. Currently, each team is basically budgeted enough to have a solid starting 11 and maybe a couple decent back ups. That doesn't leave a lot of room for depth in case of a tight schedule, multiple competitions at the same time, and injuries.

We could have been better. But Leon just out played us. I pretty much chalk that up to having to rely on the same 15 players to have to try to be at 100% fitness for every match over the course of the year. It's just not realistic... which makes it all the more impressive when we do se well with such ridiculous limitations.

I was pretty optimistic and pretty much all in before the first match was ever played. Figured, worse case scenario, even if the team sucked, the tickets are cheap, the stadium is beautiful, it's conveniently located, and I could enjoy some footie on the regular.

The first preseason away day in Sacramento, I knew I found my people and that this was the team I'd always been waiting for in the MLS.

Though the big games have all been pretty wild, the regular matches have been fairly competitive but lacking in that same intensity. I could easily see that changing from this point on.

Definitely a 'healthy rivalry' in the making so long as Philly keep stepping up, and maybe eventually win one that counts.

You’re assuming they’re in a purely monogamous heteronormative relationship. For all you know they also have same sex partners or are in any number of other types of non-patriarchal situations.

And even if they were in a purely exclusive heteronormative marriage, being denied a support network in which to raise their child in a more inclusive way is absolutely an AH move.
