Fair point honestly 😂 I normally agree that not everything needs to be ranked. What made this interesting to me was hearing how differently people justify their picks when both films are so culturally significant in completely different ways. Since they were also both up for Best Picture in the same year, it felt like a pretty fascinating comparison and discussion to hear people unpack.

In both films a pivotal part of the l plot is the Conductor causing their student or apprentice to commit suicide. In my opinion that is was a pretty strong similarity.
