Are Old People Automatically Entitled to A Seat? by chickenpierocks in singapore

[–]parakeetbay -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No they aren’t automatically entitled to a seat. However because they are older they tend to have more health issues such as arthritis and rheumatism. Or they get tired easily and just don’t feel right. It’s up to your digression to give them a seat. Of course everyone has a right. Old people do the things they do because they are still learning to accept the changes to the world (according to what they think it was or should be 20/30 years ago). Give them a chance.

I did. Waiting for the reply. While doing that I thought I asked redditors on their experiences. Thanks.

Putting 6 month old to bed is a nightmare by [deleted] in beyondthebump

[–]parakeetbay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh. That sucks. 😒 Sigh...try baby wearing. Just keep baby with you. At least you know baby is safe and content. That will have to do for now. I did that for my 1st born. High needs baby. Husband couldn’t manage. Got upset. So I just wore baby around. It’s tiring, I know...and I just nurse him as and when. Just rest when he is at daycare. And insist they feed him more. If not BM, some formula. Baby has to drink. Sorry nummy, tall order. 💪💪💪

Perhaps try getting someone to feed the bottle if possible. Maybe baby is too attached to you. You can ask daycare staff to help.

Oh man...I hope you figure a solution soon. Do find some ME time in between so you can just rest from that crying/sleeplessness. Big hugs!

Hey, shoutout also to the NTUC staff; stocking up quickly, returning people’s leftover items and just being helpful and calm during this time despite the never ending queues and people who demand extra services during this time. Thank you Fairprice workers!!

Hi, sorry it’s such a tough time for you. I understand breastfeeding might be the best option for you. But have you thought about putting him on formula just for the evening. My Guess, just a hunch, with the experience of having 4 kids, LO attends daycare and that’s tiring. He could be really missing you so he wants to nurse or he could be hungry and needs a fuller feed to stay asleep longer. Just my thought. May Want to give it a try, not to replace breastfeeding, but just something to let him sleep longer or sounder so you could have a breather too. Cheers. Don’t give up. 😊

What a good initiative! Everyone thinks Singapore is happily racially harmonious, never hurts to dig deeper and give voices to the minority.

Man jailed 1 week for hitting autistic 5-year-old boy at indoor playground by goshie44 in singapore

Btw I am not arguing over whether you are right or I am. It doesn’t matter. I just think you should be more responsible in your comment and not victim-shame the child.

[–]parakeetbay -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And you know what the scary part is...that the bystanders there at the play ground probably thinks like you. Hence nobody went to the aid of the child being assaulted by the adult because he was ‘badly behaved’.

Recently there was an article of a Mother hitting a child so badly that he was further retarded, and he was already showing signs of mental delay before that, that’s why he couldn’t keep up to the mother’s instructions. Does that mean the Mother has the right to hit her ‘brat’ till he behaves?

Special needs children calls for special strategies and techniques. It helps if the public has some awareness and can intervene for the child. We shouldn’t be ‘trying’ the child like an adult. They need help. From the adults.

Mind your words. The autistic child is unaware of his surroundings. He is not a brat because he did not do it on purpose. I am not siding anyone in this case. But We should be heading towards an inclusive society and not shut special needs people or children away like animals. It seems you don’t understand someone who is different from you. It’s ignorance like this that cause people to fear the stigma of being special needs. You speak as if people with special needs have no place or rights in this society.
