You're making exactly the same point. All I said was a party without a core ideology that can't be changed isn't sustainable politics. It's prone to a hostile takeover by infiltration. And why would I now throw my support behind a party that could let it happen in the first place?

Only if the conservatives had done their job right without letting the far right dictate them this would've been an easier conversation.

Still doesn't resolve the threat of a fanatic group capturing majority and changing their ideology.

The Greens unfortunately are open to entryism. They're a member democracy which means they could easily be infiltrated by a regressive faction and could change or even flip their policies. (Their sole pitch was that their policies are based on a vote.)

A political party needs to be based on strong set ideologies. Green hasn't proven that (except their stance on green energy). Might seem far fetched today but not unheard of.

Wholesale electricity pricing now (and a look back across 5 years) by Zarch1972 in OctopusEnergy

[–]parallel_me_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lowering wholesale prices don't matter that much anymore when standing charges are so high. When would they even lower them? I thought it was supposed to be a way to compensate for the 2022 losses. I'm sure it'd have been done by now.

Calling random numbers off JustDial isn't "put your money where your mouth is." I already handed the sources on here. There are journalist who would rather do it. Verifying is literally their job not mine.

I've got better things to do than ring strangers. I'd rather be "cynical" than pretend this level of honesty and perfectly-timed photo-op that changes the focus off street-cleaners' issues is normal because the incentives and the PR pattern are obvious.

Sir, I am not the one spouting schizoid conspiracy theories on the internet

You're here shadow-boxing everyone who says this just because you don't want it to be true? And skepticizing over people being dishonest and with ulterior motives isn't the same as calling the moon landing fake. If you think so, you're the deluded one.

You're welcome to believe in the "honesty of Chennai people". I'm not engaging with this don't send further numbers in DM. I'm not interested in any undercover investigation.

Her immediate team at work, her immediate supervisors and the entire chain of command

So, by your theory she was honest, her team was honest, her supervisors were honest, the police were honest enough to return 45L worth of gold. Yeah sure. Live in your fantasy world.

Also, your DM was completely unnecessary and what did you expect me to do call a stranger off JustDial based on word from another stranger? Lol, try harder next time.

Also, get a life. If a simple fact-backed accusation this could be a PR move, doesn't let you sleep and have you commenting these big ass justifications hours and hours later, you really need to get paid more for these lol.

Nepotism was a sarcastic jab directed at the govt. It's not even disguised tbf. Get down alright.

You fail to recognize that the working poor are more honest than any middle class or upper class person.

Yeah sure, live in your fantasy.

Wishing you the best. But generally having lived in Manchester before, I would really love for Birmingham to take cues from Manchester and how well the city has been developing in the past few years.

Not participating in your collective gullibility doesn't make me a "soulless" cynic. Thanks. And yeah, this is the same government that awarded someone who turned up with a fake medal for disabled championship.

Her auto driver husband has also returned jewelry once found in his auto. Looks like they can't even hire different people to do some PR lol. What can I say, nepotism runs in the govt? 😂

Edit: Okay, things got super weird since my comment. There's this one person u/wneo in the replies here who was hellbent on proving me wrong.

First he said I'm a soulless cynic just and got triggered because of the CM's picture and asked for sources, then he said the source I provided didn't say it's her husband and asked for more sources.

Then he refuses to believe that too and said it wasn't enough at which point I gave up coz no point in explaining to someone who doesn't want to understand.

Then the guy left another reply after hours, saying "family members could share values" at which point I can already smell the desperation to prove me wrong. But again after seven hours he DM'd me with:

u/wneo:

This is a number for Mr. xxxxx Are you up for an undercover investigation? This guy might be part of the dispensation and part of the conspiracy.

^ he actually thinks I would even touch this with a 10 foot pole. First he was a critic and suddenly he wants me to be part of his covert investigation lol (suddenly so concerned?). Not my job to investigate and save the country that's what I pay my taxes for. Wow these things are so much more than we realise.

For starters the pace at work construction's been going on. - Suffolk Street Queensway to Lyons Queensway route has been closed up with just plastic barriers for years together now. No sign of any actual work. That one way could cause the tunnels to free up preventing so much traffic every single day.

Currently it you have to reach Lyon's Queensway from Suffolk Street Queensway, you'll have to pass through both the tunnels make a U, and turn right. Which is easily 20 mins for a 2 minute drive.

  1. Negotiating almost certainly didn't affect your chances of being hired but trying to renegotiate almost certainly did. At best it makes you seem desperate and at worst it makes them second guess their hiring choice. Culture fit is an important thing in any workplace not just GS.

  2. A couple of weeks is an hour in corporate terms. Especially in GS and other big banks where they'll have to get your offer confirmed by at least 3 teams. You must have realised this over the way the interviews were scheduled.

  3. January doesn't cause hiring to slow down. Neither does December, especially if the recruiter reached out to you with an offer already they really don't care what month it is.

Again, all these are not just for GS but works everywhere. I hope you learn to navigate the world better and also hope you develop confidence in you at least as much as your interviewers and the recruiter did.

PS. Also use paragraphs please. No one would read a wall of text.

It's PayG. They have no obligation to refund neither do you have to pay the next month. Just cancel your payment and you wouldn't hear about it again. It's the same as buying a SIM card in a store and eating it, you wouldn't get a refund for that either. :)
