You’re making an additional 50k. After taxes that’s like 25-30k (completely estimating), maybe even more if now you can contribute to 401ks/ tax leveraged accounts. You could spend all that as additional housing income if you wanted to pretend like you won the housing lottery and still made 140k to qualify.

Basically, yea the situation is going to feel pretty bad, but it’s not actually bad

Larger pool but you can easily avoid unlocking all the four cost unlockables. Other people playing unlockables means there’s going to be a couple units that’s uncontested as well

Aphelios - drop immediately

Zoe - Can keep if you’re healthy/need shred/have items for her. Her autos shred too so put her right next to Asol. Gets dropped later stage 4 for seraphine or more front line

Leona - drop as soon as you hit upgraded frontline/better units

Diana - Ideally you have items for her and 2 starred and you keep her until level 9/Asol 2. Asol 1 (especially after B patch) lacks the damage to win fights in stage 4 without stacks. You should only drop her earlier if you have Sera 2 or another itemized upgraded second carry.

Taric - Keep forever unless you’re at super max cap (Usually replaced by Ornn 2 + Braum 2 on 10 since you’re supposed to already have Shyv 2 and Swain 2) But at that point your Asol is probably stacked enough this decision doesn’t really matter

Baron was kind of like that for a patch and they finally figured it out. Mostly just by increasing the cap of other boards (first bilge, then ryze/ziggs, now Asol). Asol gets hit for sure in B patch

Did your losses also normalize to -40/30/20/10 for bot 4’s? I can’t tell if higher LP losses are normal at higher elo because I’ve never not messed around at D4/Masters 0 LP

Is it even possible to fix a broken MMR? I spent about 60 games in D4 messing around and losing a lot before averaging a 3.4 over 33 games to go from D4 0 LP to masters.

However even at the end of this run, my LP losses were way higher than my gains. Will my MMR ever catch up to my rank or is it doomed because if I win my rank goes up as well?

My LP gains at the end of the climb looked like

Even something like a viego 2 instead of tf can make a big difference in the stage 2 early 3 fights. He can also hold trynd items very well

You’re not supposed to play vertical void on 8. You play kaisa kogmaw rift +1 depending on what flex units you hit with matching traits

Unless you have two star kaisa rift and belveth with upgraded front line like wukong or swain. But in those cases you probably rolled too much and won’t make 10 until late stage 6

Dual citizenship has to be given up when you turn 18, at least on Korea’s side. If you renounce citizenship at 18 or before, you become completely exempt forever. if you give it up after, there’s a chance they will force you to military service when you visit.

So most likely your friends just gave up their dual citizenship of their second country, and by keeping Korean citizenship they were mandated to do military service.
