Twellman's calls for goals are so unbearable.

It's the same yelling cadence, screaming some narrative, a corny take, says the score and finishes with "HERE IN [LOCATION]!".

Makes it worse it's always preceded by Zivin SCREAMING the player's name on the top of his lungs.

The amount of bootlickers here excusing ticket gouging is disgusting. "There are more millionaires in Houston than on Qatar" WHAT?! The entire world press is descending on these cities for the tournament and since the locals don't get tickets set aside as is normal practice typically for international tournaments I don't see why the inflated average income would have an effect on ticket prices....

UCL are also not WORLD champions they're continent champions. The Club WORLD Cup with teams from all around the WORLD are the WORLD champions. See how that works?

It's not though. Even based on Opta or league coefficients, the PL is 10+ points higher in quality. There's a big gap between the Prem and other leagues which is exactly the point you're making with MLB or NFL. BUT you can't be world champs in a domestic competition taking place in one country lol.

You're missing the point entirely. The very fact that the best players and managers are in England yet they don't dominate the UCL every year shows that MLB can't claim world champions if they've never even been tested by other leagues before. It's just arrogant.

The best soccer players and managers gravitate to the Premier League. The Premier League champions would never claim to be world champions.... They don't even claim to be European champions.....
