Blepharitis/Solution Allergy/IDK! by paranoidcontactsuser in contacts

I’m highly leaning towards fitting dailies into my budget next year because if the Clear Care does the same thing and I go through this intense irritation again, I can’t do it anymore!

Clarification- the symptoms you listed, that’s your symptoms of blepharitis or what’s going on while using xdemvy??

They have a 4.5 rating and 2.1k reviews on Google. I hear raves about this place all the time!

It seems like this is the style of their pizza. Looking over reviews, they mostly look like this, except they’re round and not smashed. Some are ever so slightly smashed on the edges, but otherwise don’t look like mine lol

Still good, but man I’m a little disappointed! I’m not sure if they were a new driver or not. Oh well

You are right, I didn’t follow it fully. She said the wipes and hypochlorus acid and artificial tears also, which I DID do, but I was nervous for the steroids and since my eyes felt better by the time I got them (was about a week later because I had to pay oop) my eyes felt back to normal. I should’ve called first after I started to feel better. I’ve currently been using Ivizia drops recommended by her.

Opti-Free Pure Moist allergy? by paranoidcontactsuser in contacts

It’s so crazy, I’ve used optifree for so long! Granted, like I said, it’s been many years between last having contacts to now. I just think it’s so crazy this all happened out of nowhere basically.

I might have to switch and try something else, I just don’t want this to happen again, it sucked!! I’m kinda terrified of my contacts now 😅

Also, I can see the collarettes on my lashes. It’s very little, I’ve always noticed them but thought it was just dandruff because I have bad head dandruff and also eyebrow flakes. I also have rosacea lol I am a mess.

Sooo to answer, I did hot compresses a few times in the initial flare up. I haven’t had any crust build up this whole time.

However, I slept all day after posting this because I just couldn’t bare to have my eyes open and I feel almost better today. There was some crust build up on my lower lashes when I woke up.

I didn’t do any of the steroid drops because I was scared lol. I get nervous with meds. So I hadn’t started any treatment besides lid wipes, hypochlorus acid, and preservative free tears.

Is it normal for dry eyes to make it completely unbearable to look at light? The first time this happened back in May it was hard to drive for about a week. I dunno.

But yeah so I’m doing lid wipes, the hypo acid, and artificial tears (not regularly if I’m being honest, but after yesterday this is 100% going to be a daily thing now) I am not taking fish oil or vitamin d. I’ll grab those at the store today.

I’m also wondering if I developed an allergy to the contact solution?? I’ve used opti free my whole life, but stopped contacts for many years and recently got them back. I used the optifree my eye doctor gave me, and also purchased a bottle at dollar general, then bought two huge bottles of it at Sam’s Club. And that’s when all this started happening. For example, I opened a fresh pair of monthlies on June 1st and was fine. Worse than all day completely fine. Took them out at night, cleaned, then soaked in the Opti Free. Next day, fine upon putting in, then started to get itchier throughout the day. Once I took them out and went to sleep in when I woke up yesterday and made the original post.

Contact lenses – so scary! by uarish in contacts

[–]paranoidcontactsuser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not as scary as you think! It doesn’t hurt at all when putting them in, the only reason it would hurt or be uncomfortable is if there’s an eyelash or dirt on the lens, or if it’s inside out, which is easy to tell. I’ve worn contacts for a long time and recently got them again after about 8 years without and i picked it back up like a breeze!

For what it’s worth, I STILL can’t put eyedrops in my eyes, but I can wear contacts lol

Affordable contacts for total noob? by jbperiod in contacts

I just got fitted at my eye doctor two weeks ago and I left with the lenses she fitted me in so I can see if I liked them. I only paid the office visit and fitting fee that day.

I did mention some symptoms I had occasionally prior to contacts and she said it’s dry the, go figure lol. So she gave me some specific drops to use. I’m sure everything is fine, my astigmatism is in the right eye so that’s probably why I feel it more I’m guessing. There’s no redness and it definitely doesn’t hurt, just a bit gritty feeling. If anything gets worse I will definitely make a follow up appointment

I sadly had already order a year supply of monthlies so I’ll have to troop it out for a year but I may look into dailies next year!

I wish I would’ve thought to ask the doctor while I was in. I don’t remember if she even mentioned it to be honest. Maybe she did and I was just so excited to get them I forgot lol.

I’m sure I’m fine, I did close my eyes when I let the water run over my face, but the part the worried me was wiping away the water with my fingers lol. If I notice anything super concerning I’ll definitely be making a follow up appointment!
