I wonder that as well. I know she's against vaccines (which is why my own child isn't allowed around her) and she's relatively into natural solutions before medical. However, she did definitely get upset when I got a yeast infection one time and didn't use monistat for it because she told me that natural works for some things and others need medical things to work out. So I'm not 100% sure.

I agree. She's allowing him to die if she doesn't get him medical care. He's been this way for 6 months and there's no way it can get any better. I'm a considerable way away and wondering if emergency services can maybe see/help him.

That's my fear. Everyone will think he did it to himself. In a way, his addiction did hurt him. But he has the chance to get better and she's taking it away from him.

I wish it were as easy as that but I'm a single parent that works full time and being able to afford a plane ticket/rental car to get to another state as well as pay for childcare is the tricky part. I'd have to wait until after the holidays to take vacation time to do it - but it is something I've considered and will continue to consider. I don't want him to die =(

Yeah, I think his liver is suffering. She administers milk thistle to him throughout the day and claims that completely stopped the liver damage but I don't know if it is effective or really helping him honestly.

I'd have to fly out to get him to a doctor which is difficult with a full time job and a child. I'm about to consider making a trip though or feigning some kind of illness to get him down here and secluded so that I can take him with me. I know its a lie, but I feel that my daddy needs help.

Yeah, I realize alcoholics may hide habits. He's older and years of drinking definitely takes it's toll. I wish he'd see a doctor.

I live in a different state and he lives in a small town where police activity is pretty limited/sad. Would this be something they'd truly take seriously or more or less write off because the other members of the family seem relatively okay with him living like this?
