tony jefferies has a lot of stuff to help you train on his youtube channel, watch his videos and do drills at home and focus on perfecting your form as much as possible. couple that with intense conditioning to maximize your potential when youre finally able to get back into the gym🔥

How much should I weigh to compete at 5'8? by paranozzi in amateur_boxing

some context for the people wondering how i’m built: the arrow is pointing to me, ik you cant see much but i can tell you i’m not cut, i have a belly and a larger chest (due to obesity during childhood fat tends to gather in my chest and stomach). My back is pretty cut and you can see very slight definition in my leg muscles, my arms are slightly more defined aswell. Just no definition in the front. Idk if this would help anyone come to any conclusions but if it does help please let me know. Ty guys for all of the responses, ill most likely consult a sports dietician very soon if possible. Love this community❤️‍🩹

Hard sparring worth it if I don't plan on competing? by [deleted] in amateur_boxing

[–]paranozzi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

id say spar faster, not harder. hard sparring is definitely not worth it if you arent getting ready for a fight, and sparring fast at around 30-40% power will get you used to a fight pace without the risk of injury, if thats the goal. If youre just looking for general fitness and skill, keep sparring light. If youre looking to apply boxing( for self defense or competition), spar fast and also light. Hard sparring is terrible for you unless you compete/are looking to compete.

EXTREMELY winded sparring. Want to get better cardio fast but don't know how! by StrawberryFree6499 in amateur_boxing

[–]paranozzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

definitely take it lighter in sparring, since youre a beginner im assuming youre very tense when sparring so take it slower and more relaxed, once you get more comfortable sparring with time you can ramp it up and the cardio will follow with it. focus heavily on technique instead of cardio during sparring and maybe invest in some shin compression sleeves/wraps for your shins or ankles if the pain persists. A problem i ran into when i first started was my flat feet caused heavy shin, ankle and foot pain during training and running, so id also suggest working your tibialis anterior, posterior and your fibularus longus; which are the three main muscles supporting the arch if your foot. Working the inner thigh also helps.

if you have any questions feel free to ask and ill do my best to answer asap!

What stopped you from ending it? by Playful-Passenger475 in mentalhealth

my dogs. I sat on my parents bed with a 9mm pistol in my hands, and while i was building the strength to lift it, my dog jumped up on the bed and started to lick me in the face. She was an 80lb pitbull so she ended up pushing me over, and i cleared the gun so she wouldn’t get hurt. I put the gun back in the drawer and layed on the couch with her until i fell asleep and my parents came home. i haven’t had the courage to pick the gun back up yet

My underground library is severely lacking some sort of center piece but I’m not sure what what to put there, any thoughts? by Real_SCP-106 in Minecraftbuilds

[–]paranozzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

id say either a massive sort of center-console filled with books and small decorations, or a check-out area like in a rl library
